I will never forget the piercing sound of the alarm and the announcement at 6:30 pm, “CODE BLUE Room 268!” It seemed like time stopped and accelerated simultaneously. March 6th, 2019 - my son, my first born, my only son took his last breath on a ventilator at 10:42 pm. Every parent of child loss knows the feeling. Tight chest. Tears flowing. Choking while trying to breathe. Can't think straight. Want to run away, but not knowing where. Wanting to scream, but knowing it won't help. I know my son is in a better place and that certainty soothes my aching heart, but it doesn’t take the pain away. Please pray for us today.
