Caleb Williams Appears to be a right hamstring strain. This is likely to be a significant injury given the fact that it was non-contact (after his right leg was tripped up) and he was writhing in pain and then could not put any weight on that right leg. This is probably a grade 2 hamstring strain, which is a partial tear, but there’s a possibility this is a grade 3, which is what happened to Dak Prescott, that required season-ending surgery. A.J. Brown Right high-ankle sprain, no fracture MRI later today to confirm severity Grade 1: Out 1-2 weeks Grade 2: Out 3-6 weeks Grade 3: Out 6-8 weeks (unlikely) Best case scenario he ONLY misses Week 2, and returns in a limited fashion for Week 3. The energy was distributed through the high (syndesmotic) and medial (deltoid) ligaments. The deltoid ligament was stronger and held up, the high-ankle wasn’t. Likely could have been much worse.

Patrick Mahomes Left knee sprain Hyperextended - often PCL is stressed. Initial forces to lateral knee (LCL + posterolateral corner) but outside chance the ACL is impacted. There’s a little medial stress (MCL) at the end. I expect him to get checked out in the locker room, hopefully everything checks out. With the Chiefs out of the playoffs, I wonder if Mahomes gets shut down for the rest of the year.

Baker Mayfield Right thumb dislocation Possibilities for thumb include: Thumb UCL partial tear - 1-2 weeks Thumb UCL full tear - 3-4 weeks (surgery) Fracture - 2-6 weeks (specifics, surgery) This would be throwing thumb, which impacts accuracy and velocity. We should know more tomorrow after the MRI/CT. There’s a possibility he plays in Week 4 if this is just a mild sprain.

Tank Dell suffered one of the worst orthopedic injuries you can suffer - a dislocated knee. Usually this leads to 2-4+ ligaments being torn, often including the ACL. These are extremely difficult injuries to return from, especially at a high level like the NFL expects. Here Tank is working with Dr. ‘Reef’ Tabbah in South Florida on his knee. It’s unclear if he will be effective this season, but I’m excited to see how much progress he made. Tyreek Hill is attempting to return from the same severe injury.
