2026 optimal lap at Spa: 1:41.906. Norris took pole here last year with a 1:40.562. 1.3 seconds slower at the fastest track on the calendar. Eau Rouge. Raidillon. Pouhon. The corners where the new regs hurt the most. 30% less downforce. Can anyone get into the 1:41s this weekend?

Leclerc: THIS QUALI IS A JOKE!!! How is being fast in corners not even the right strategy in qualifying? You can be one of the quickest and still lose out because of this. A pre determined deployment model where any deviation causes delays or miscalculation… that’s completely against what F1 is supposed to be. what does the perfect lap actually look like? not a driver’s lap. not a hotlap. the mathematically optimal path around Miami. physics. geometry. pure numbers. no human error. no instinct. just the fastest line possible. which driver on this grid can actually drive it?

Everyone was saying how great the battle was between the Ferraris.... I just looked at it and thought how stupid they were being. George was waiting there with his full energy to overtake them both when they used all theirs up squabbling and then disappeared up the road. It offers an exciting looking product, look any deeper than the surface however, and you just how fake it is. 🎥: Formulytics

Honda are a joke of a company in F1 Honda has one of the strangest patterns in F1: Leave in 2008 → their car wins the 2009 title Come back in 2015 → "GP2 engine" era embarrassment Finally build a championship-winning engine by 2021 Pull out again... right at the top Now returning AGAIN in 2026 from scratch. It's not that Honda can't build a great engine, they clearly can. It's that every time they get there... they reset themselves back to zero. Feels less like long-term thinking and more like corporate indecision.
