In their OxygenOS 16 keynote, OnePlus rigged the animation test against One UI. Shameful. They intentionally used navigation buttons, then entered a full screen app where the buttons got hidden, then kept pressing on an empty spot — and pretended that it’s lagging. 💀 One UI 8 is peak Android experience right now. It’s the most stable mobile software out there. Doing cheap stunts like this ain’t changing nobody’s mind.

I don’t get why devs discriminate even in little things like this. - On WhatsApp for iOS, you can swipe left on a message to quickly see delivered, read, and voice message heard status. Very useful in group chats. - On WhatsApp for Android you have to tap and hold the message, select 3-dots, then select Info to see the same thing. I get it when devs can’t put iOS’s design language or animation quality in their Android apps, but things like these should be pretty easy to implement. Maybe it’s because they thought this gesture might interfere with Android’s back gesture, but I believe there’s a clear distinction between swiping from the edge and swiping in the middle of a message.

I find it offensive that doing the same thing on iOS is much faster and easier than Android. On WhatsApp, you can swipe left on a message to check delivered/read status. Very useful in group chats. Can’t do it on Android.

This right here is exactly what I felt when I tried switching my main phone from iPhone to Android last year. The apps on Android are so bad they don’t even feel like they’re made for your phone. Plus many apps on Android simply lack a lot of features compared to iOS. For example, on WhatsApp on iOS, I can quickly swipe left on a message in a group chat to see which members have received and/or read my message. On Android, it takes a long press and 2 additional taps to access the same info. This was such a deal breaker for me who’s in a lot of group chats.

I hope he’s kidding 😭 If you have cloud backup turned ON for anything (photos, notes, messages, or anything else) you’re already using iCloud. I don’t understand how it’s difficult to use it when you don’t even have to think about it after you turn it ON.
