Here is DDP in January 2002. Just 7 months after his debut. He's winning the European Title. A huge step down for someone who should be in the upper card. Look at the reaction to the Diamond Cutter. Fans still cared about him. WWF had no clue what they had.

This is what Vader was doing 30 days before the "I'm nothing but a fat piece of shit" promo. WWF looked at this guy and thought "yeah can't think of anything to do with him" (great selling from Kobashi here definitely worth noting)

Roadkill was just 24 years old when ECW closed & was moving like this. That's a guy who would get a ton of opportunities today. Expected big things from his future around this time.

Whenever I mention how much better the Attitude Era would be if Vince screwed Shawn and Bret stuck around people inevitably insist it wouldn't work because Bret Hart wouldn't have fit in and I just wonder what people are talking about & if they've actually watched 1997 Bret Hart

I know people (dummies) push back on the idea that Vader could've fit in with the Attitude Era of WWF because he was too stiff for the top stars. Here he is in June 1998 working with The Rock. They match up pretty damn great. Easy to fit a guy like this in.

Finish of Serial Thrillaz vs Death & Destruction OMEGA 5/8/98 One of the best tag matches of the late 90s and one of the best matches anywhere in the world in 1998. Check the height Hurricane Helms gets on that splash Sound up. Wrestling sounds best in Southern school gymnasiums

Bob Backlund doing his deadlift spot with Hogan is insane. Backlund was truly a freak of nature. Watch Backlund's face on the first lift attempt! Hogan is great in this clip too. The idea that he was a bad worker should've ended with these Backlund matches in 1980.

One of my favorite random "Wait, WTF?" matches is Michael Hayes vs Tracy Smothers from July 1999 in WWF Hayes was only 40 & with the way he could talk & brawl it might've been interesting if he could make a real comeback Vince Russo on commentary adds to the strangeness of this
