Elon Musk: “The reason I felt that it was important to acquire Twitter was because I could feel the walls closing in. It was outrageous that they suspended the account of a sitting president And I think it was only a matter of time before they suspended my account. Twitter and, well, pretty much all the social media companies, and Google and everyone, are controlled by far-left activists. That’s the truth of it. How do you know what’s real when it’s all filtered through a far-left San Francisco Berkeley lens? They just manipulate the truth constantly."

Elon Musk: “My mind often feels like a very wild storm. I have a fountain of ideas. I have more ideas than I can possibly execute, so I have no shortage of ideas. Innovation is not the problem, execution is the problem. I’ve got an entire design for an electric supersonic vertical takeoff jet, but I just can’t do that as well. I’ve had that for 10 years. I think to some degree I was born this way, and then it was amplified by a difficult childhood. I can remember, even in the happy moments when I was a kid, that it feels like a rage of forces in my mind, constantly. Now this productively manifests itself in technology and building things for the most part. I think on balance the output has been very productive.”

Elon Musk: “There’s a product plan I wrote, which I wish I had kept a copy of in July of 2000, where I thought it would be possible to make the most valuable financial institution in the world. And we’re gonna execute that plan from 22 years ago, which amazingly no one has done. And that’s part of why I think Twitter/X will be ultimately extremely valuable because I’m gonna execute the game plan from 22 years ago, with some improvements. And then we’re also obviously going to make Twitter a better system."

Elon Musk: “It’s mind-blowing that they’ve not tried to prosecute even one on the Epstein client list. They have not even tried to prosecute even one. That’s insane. They put five or six hundred January 6th protesters in prison and not one person on the Epstein client list. I think part of why Kamala’s getting so much support is that if Trump wins, that Epstein client list is gonna become public, and some of those billionaires behind Kamala are terrified of that outcome. Yes. And Gates. Yeah.”

Elon Musk: “It seems like China listens to everything I say and does it, basically Or at least they’re doing it independently - I don’t know. But they’re certainly making massive battery packs, producing vast numbers of electric cars, and deploying enormous amounts of solar power These are all things I said we should do here.”

Elon Musk: ”Big companies are not very good at revolutionary innovation. They're okay when it comes to incremental things here and there, but they have a real problem with taking the next leap forward. What is really the constraint? Is the constraint a quantity of resources? The real constraint isn’t money or resources, It’s a small, extremely talented, focused, dedicated team willing to take big risks That’s the scarce commodity The world is awash in money”

Elon Musk: “China is a manufacturing powerhouse next level. If you take refining of ore, I’d say roughly China does twice as much ore refining on average as the rest of the world combined Like, we actually do rare earth ore mining in the U.S., send the rock… we put it on a train, and then put it on a boat to China, that goes on another train, and goes to the rare earth refiners in China who then refine it, put it into a magnet, put it into a motor subassembly, and then send it back to America So, we’re really missing a lot of ore refining in America. We kind of need Optimus, frankly, to build ore refineries. We definitely can’t win with just humans because China has four times our population… the average work ethic in China is higher than in the U.S. So we can’t win on the human front, but we might have a shot at the robot front”

Elon Musk: “People are mistaken when they think that technology just automatically improves. It does not automatically improve. It only improves if a lot of people work very hard to make it better. If you look at the progress in space, in 1969, we're able to send somebody to the moon. Then we had the space shuttle. The space shuttle could only take people to low Earth orbit. Then the space shuttle retired, and the United States could take no one to orbit. So that's the trend. The trend is like, down to nothing. You look at great civilizations like ancient Egypt, and they were able to make the pyramids, and they forgot how to do that. And the Romans, they built these incredible aqueducts—they forgot how to do it."

Elon Musk: “If you don’t have access to the internet, or it’s too expensive or low bandwidth, you cannot access MIT lessons, you can’t access information, and you can’t sell your goods and services, Starlink will actually move the GDP of countries, Because GDP is simply average productivity per person and connectivity massively boosts productivity”

Elon Musk: “America needs to be strong enough to last long enough to extend life to other planets and to get AI and robotics to the point where we can ensure that the future is good On the other hand, if we were to descend into, say, communism or some situation where the state was extremely oppressive, that would mean that we might not be able to become multi-planetary and the state might snuff out our progress in AI and robotics”

Elon Musk: “In order to solve full self-driving properly, you have to solve real-world AI. The road networks are designed to work with a biological neural net — our brains — and with vision — our eyes. So, in order to make it work with computers, you need to solve real-world AI and vision. We need cameras and silicon neural nets for self-driving to work in a system designed for eyes and biological neural nets. When you put it that way, it’s quite obvious that the only way to solve full self-driving is to solve real-world AI and sophisticated vision.”

Elon Musk: “I mean, it’s(Grok) called the singularity for a reason, which is hard to predict what happens in the singularity. Grok’s logo is the singularity. It’s the halo around a black hole as the mass and light are falling in. It’s hard to know what happens inside the singularity. But it’s going to be very interesting. We’re going to live in the future which will be very entertaining, of that I am confident.”

Elon Musk: "The challenge is overcoming bureaucracy. And I think bureaucracy is perhaps the penultimate boss battle. The ultimate boss battle is defeating entropy, which we mean, physics tells us we cannot defeat entropy. The second hardest battle is defeating bureaucracy. That's how difficult it is to improve government."

Elon Musk: "In the natural extension of the environmentalist movement, if you go too far, you start to look at humanity as a bad thing. You start to look at humanity as though we are a plague on the surface of the earth. And in fact, there are some people who think and say explicitly that, On the front page of the New York Times, there was a guy who said: there are 8 billion people on earth, it would be better if there were none. Which is crazy."

Elon Musk: “We want to be a civilization that expands to the galaxy with spaceships that anyone can take anywhere they want, at any time That would be epic A city on the Moon. Cities on Mars. Populate the entire solar system Send spaceships to other star systems That sounds like the best possible future.”
