I fell in love with it, before ever going there, through the men and women who came to Catalonia in search of work and were given the most backbreaking jobs, I hasten to add.“ Wrote the most meritable spanish novelist Juan Goytisolo in the year 1954 in his booklet „Nijar country“ about the capital of the province #Almeria Almeria city and recent photos still show what his impression was based on. Yesterday with spring making a little break while #Almeria still offered 26/27 C it was the time to visit the narrow beach band which spans around nearly the whole sea-side of the town with the exception of the port. The port is reserved to the big ferry ships 🚢 serving from here to various destinations in North-Africa which are so close to #Almeria Melilla - one of the teo spanish possessions over there Oujda in #Algeria and Nador in #Morocco The beach of 🏝️ #Almeria is far from being the most poshest, the most fashionable beach even of the province Almeria but it is after school being used the most thoughtful way by the local youngsters. And this is it after all what matters.⛹🏽⛹🏼♀️🤸🏽♀️🤸🏼 Hereunder the where & what abouts of #GoogleMaps

🌴🌊🌞 Leaving #Mojacar by car 🚘 towards #Carboneras at the fourth roundabout lefthand you find various parking opportunities in front of the beach 🏖️ You are passing lefthand an 18th century fort … and no it is not and was never ever a castle as the spanish info table suggests 🤣😂🤣 From there you have the hiking road for the very beginners ( like me 😉 ) taking you to the bizarr beauties of the local coastline. Highlight is a tiny watchtower built upon a coastal rock and going back to the Xii or Xiii century when arab people of the Nasrid dynasty epoc erected it. For those of you wondering what comes beyond the horizon of that point I can tell you - yes there is another hiking trail … slightly more difficult and it shall not be used before June ☹️So there is still space for a replay 😉

🌴🐣🐢🌞🌵 If you step out of your door this afternoon be aware that the 🐣Easter-messengers 🐣 may appear in quite a different shape this year than the former ones. - So it occurred that at that very moment today a Greek tortoise 🐢 as slowly as they are used to crossed the road in front ( and I am still wondering 🤔 💭 : how did they make it from #Greece to #Spain at that speed ? ) - This does indeed happen from time to time. The special thing today was that the sparse rain of the last days allowed also for some modest wild-flowers 🌸 being present. That said … keep your eyes 👀 open 🥚🥚🥚 and enjoy your long Easter-weekend 🐣 you hopefully have 💗

🏝️🌊🌴🐬🌵🍸It‘s mid April and the mild nights came along to #Mojacar These are the nights you feel unwell only visiting a restaurant or hotel bar - not to talk even of sleeping 🛌 😴 early. So this are the evenings you will impatiently search all over the place where the action is and where you have the opportunity to hotting out all this extra energy ⚡️that‘s vitalizing you. So fortunately your search came to an end at a place where on a mild Sunday afternoon already at 6 p.m. there is full-house with spots on and the beats hammering clearly audibly while not brutal … the crowd looking for entertainment is pretty much mixed and still has enough space and everyone a seat, the prices for drinks are not robbery and there is no upfront charge. For sure this is one of the places that contributed to Mojacar‘s image as a place comparable to #Ibiza while slightly 😘more decent. It‘s name is PlayaJuana and you may like to compare with IG @PlayaJuana as well as IG #PlayaJuana All this said my spouse and me will celebrate here a number of nights-in-nights-out as soon as we have been able to reverse age a few decades … Until then it‘s your turn to go and N-joy 🍹 The remainder of what & whereabouts you will find on google Maps:
