When Dragon Ball Daima brought back the CLASSIC Dragon Ball Z 'energy' sound effects, I was so incredibly happy! These sounds are just as iconic to the series as anything else in my view (even though Toei had used most of them on other projects for years before DB ever started)

Remember Freeza's 'native language!?' For some reason only Texas Hillbilly Funimation producer Barry Watson knows how to translate it! Oh wow! How do you justify this? Its completely pointless. All Freeza did was laugh in the JP. DBZ #88 - English Dub w/ JP subs on.

Mike McFarland was always professional to me and was kind enough to voice in one of my social media bumpers, recorded back in 2017. He went above and beyond, even with this little 12 second bumper.

The cliffhanger for DBZ episode 138 is among my favorites. They are hauling Goku's body to Kame House and evacuating Goku's house to protect him from the Androids, meanwhile Bulma gets a phone call that would open up a brand NEW mystery. This is some of my favorite Toriyama mystery writing ever.

Credit to Flex Fandom from Instagram. Fusion of two things I love: 80s pro wrestling and 80s Dragon Ball. This AI Piccolo aka Ma Junior looks unarguably 50x better than how he looked in Dragon Ball Evolution.

But Danny, is there ANYTHING you like about the Z Dub? Of Course! I enjoy a lot of the performances. The actors many times did some great scenes. In addition, a small number of Z Dub lines are actually funny and clever. Example - this one here is hilarious from DBZ #71

Did you know when X-Men 92 aired in Japan, they comissioned a new anime-exclusive opening for it. This looks absolutely amazing and features events, stories, and scenes that weren't even in the actual show. This OP is actually insane.

This movie in Japanese is a COMPLETELY different vibe. Man did 4Kids butcher alot of the story. That was the time period I suppose.

The most terrifying scene I've ever witnessed in a movie theater. I was actually frightened and I'm a grown ass man. This movie imprinted into my soul.

Anime Only Confrontation: Cell vs Krillin at the Airport. I like this because it shows Krillin saving people from Cell and using his brain to outsmart the creature despite not being strong enough to go one on one with him. From DBZ #146. 1080p SoM CC OBA

The #AvengersDoomsday trailer was dope but, this is my favorite MCU trailer of all time. The movie is probably the weakest of the 4 Avengers films, but this parallel between Ultron and Pinnochio was legit genius! I used to watch it all the time.

After realizing he can't hit SS2 Gohan, Cell FINALLY elevates his ki to near maximum power, and he was NOT bluffing. This scene right here KILLS any of these stupid arguments about Goku or Trunks 'actually' being stronger than Cell. Bullshit. Cell was SUPRESSED THE ENTIRE TIME until here! From DBZ #186 OBA 1080p

In the EARLY moments of the Goku vs Freeza battle, Goku quickly realizes that Freeza cannot sense ki. That no matter how fast or strong Freeza is, his biggest weakness is that he did not know how to sense energy, which is exactly what would lead to his defeat. This was the end of the 'scouter' and 'battle power' era of DBZ: the Earthlings (and Vegeta learned) were right the whole time: learning ki was way more valuable than technology. From DBZ #87 OBA 1080p

Akira Toriyama offers Arale and Gachan to grant any one wish they want after winning the Penguin Village tournament. Arale asks to become an adult but Toriyama doesn't want that, so he uses his power as author erased the panel and re-writes it in-universe so that Arale instead wants a lollipop.

This fills me with happiness and JOY! The LATIN AMERICAN Spanish version of Cha La, Head Cha La Opening, featuring Seed of Might color correction and Neo-Raws Upscale to 1080p HD, sung by Ricardo Silva. This was an important part of my childhood on Telemundo and its here.

Goku transforms into "False Super Saiyan" for the first (and last) time and beats up on Slug. Coincidentally, this film would be released a mere 6 days before Toriyama unveiled the actual Super Saiyan transformation in the manga. From Dragon Ball Z Movie #4.
