Europe’s most unstoppable play has made it to college basketball from who else but Josh Schertz and Saint Louis. The Box Exit Post Pin. And of course, they scored on it.

What goes into a perfect offensive possession? For me, I evaluate it with something called the "Basketball Bliss Point. I wrote about what that is and how you can use it to build offensive concepts at The Painted Possession. I made this one FREE for everyone to read, so I hope you check it out. Link is in the first reply 👇. Before you read, there is some required viewing--my favorite offensive possession in Europe last year:

Very interesting rule loophole here from Charleston... With 1.9 seconds remaining Charleston has a player right on the ball, reaching over the end line ready to receive it. The defense tips it away, and the referee assesses a delay of game warning--if I understand correctly, the rules allow the offense to reach over the end line but NOT the defense. UNC Wilmington is forced to allow the inbounds pass and foul.

The most unstoppable play in Europe this year was Napoca's Box Exit Post Pin. They cooked with this all year long, getting layups whenever they wanted with a brilliantly simple play that leverages the angle defenders are going to use to guard a baseline pin.

Slovenia played some of most beautiful basketball you will ever see from that age group on their way to a FIBA U20 EuroBasket Championship. Incredible level of polish with their execution alongside tremendous reads and communication. Happy to see this kind of play being rewarded.

Michigan found easy buckets in transition by leaking out the shooter's defender after every jumper, a strategy used by many teams in Europe. Given the way it stresses defenses and the way the shooter likely won't be involved on the offensive glass to punish, this could be something we see copied in the NCAA.

Auburn is the #1 team on KenPom and the #1 team in adjusted offensive efficiency and they’re doing it with dedication to a modernized version of the classic flex offense. Having talented players buy in to setting great screens and cutting with pace is incredible to watch.

Will Wade's aggressive switching pick and roll defense at McNeese State is always an interesting study: -Triple switching high ball screens -Triple switching to trap -Pre switching ram or any early actions to keep the players they want in pick and roll coverage
