In our family, we've always had a clear rule: No dating until a child is 18 years old. No exceptions. Over the years I've never seen a reason to soften that rule, and lots of reasons to stick with it.

I'll just say it: I hope Ed Gallrein loses in November. The GOP needs to feel pain for what they are doing.

This morning hundreds of men, including many priests and seminarians, participated in a Eucharistic Procession through the streets of Cincinnati. This two minute video only shows about half the men in the procession. Christ is King!

Humanae Vitae was ~7,000 words. Magnifica Humanitas is ~42,000 words. Papal encyclicals have gotten far too long. I'm calling for better editors for future papal documents.

Washington's Catholic governor betrays the Faith, signing legislation forcing priests to divulge abuse if they hear of it in the Confessional. The seal of Confessional is inviolate; priests in Washington will now have the opportunity to suffer for Christ.

SSPX supporters say that if the Society doesn't consecrate bishops tomorrow then traditional Catholicism will be irreparably harmed. I would argue that if they decide at this late hour to *not* consecrate bishops, then traditional Catholicism could be immeasurably helped.

While I hope and pray the Vatican will extend mercy and approve the SSPX consecrations, I also would warn SSPX attendees that they're playing a dangerous game if they continue to receive SSPX confessions after any excommunications.

I think we should look at the Vatican/SSPX relationship like a father/son relationship. A good father would extend mercy and listen closely to the pleas of his son, including his son's criticisms, even if (especially if!) he thinks his son is wayward.

I've decided that I will no longer criticize Pope Francis for the remainder of his pontificate. Since I've been a public critic of the pope for years, I thought I'd explain my decision in this short video.

The local news covered our parish laying a "carpet" of dyed wood chip designs for tonight's Corpus Christi procession. This year we had over 500 people attend Mass and the procession through downtown Cincinnati. Deo Gratias!
