Some people didn't like me saying that every Catholic should give at least 10% of their income to the Church and to charity, but I'd also say that the rich should definitely give much more than 10%. If you take home $200,000/year, then giving away only $20,000 is a joke.

I think we should look at the Vatican/SSPX relationship like a father/son relationship. A good father would extend mercy and listen closely to the pleas of his son, including his son's criticisms, even if (especially if!) he thinks his son is wayward.
