Really awesome improvements in the Maxon update that dropped yesterday including the ability to simply drag & drop Adobe Substance 3D Materials (.SBAR) directly into #C4D, automatically creating Redshift materials. 🙌

I'm awful at making backgrounds for my characters so making a point to try to do that from now on. Here's my attempt at making a fun, anime-ish background for this pug & rider character that Can Erduman help me rig & animate! All made with #C4D Maxon Redshift Toon Shader!

If you've been wanting to use OTOY The Render Network in Cinema 4D, it's never been easier! OTOY just dropped a new Render Network Wizard for #C4D that allows you to quickly and easily prep your scenes to send to Render Network! Works with Redshift and Octane too!

Cinema 4D MCP is friggin nuts...it rigged, weighted, and created custom controllers w/Xpresso for my stylized character with separated and nubby arms and legs. Something Mixamo would absolutely butcher...!! Key thing, though...if I didn't have a decade of rigging experience, I wouldn't have had the knowledge to guide the AI to this exact outcome that I needed and there was A LOT of guiding it. It didn't know where to place joints, I had to literally place Null objects to where they needed to be, and I told it to make me the controllers to get the movements I wanted. And of course a little bit of weight painting clean up...all things that STILL require the fundamentals and technical skills I've learned through the years. More to come!

Blender 5.0's new Geonode presets look very Mograph Cloner-y. It'll be interesting to see how far they go with this functionality, considering Cinema 4D has been cornering the market with this kind of stuff for almost two decades.

Adobe just released its first “commercially safe” Adobe Firefly Video in public beta. You can access it in Adobe Premiere & a new Firefly mobile app. Scene to Image & Text to Image are interesting for 3D artists, as you have a lot of control over your images. What do you think?

The latest After Effects update now allows you to natively add 3D primitives directly into your comp without an outside app! AE team really been pushing on the 3D side!

Examples of different types of fluid results you can get using #C4D fluids! This is with high iterations in Surface Tension and Viscosity in the scene wide sim settings. What do you think? #Cinema4D #motiondesign #FluidDynamics #liquidsimulation Maxon
