Visited Gadchiroli, a district once affected by Naxalism that is now witnessing remarkable transformation through inclusive development. My compliments to Shri Balasubramaniam Prabhakaran, Managing Director, Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited, whose community-focused initiatives are creating new opportunities for local youth and women and to Shri Devendra Fadnavis, the district’s Guardian Minister, for his continued support for its development. During my visit, I inaugurated the Lloyds Eklavya Hostel, Lloyds Shakti Hostel, Lloyds Bhojanalya and Lloyds Driving School. It was heartening to distribute awards, apprenticeship orders and offer letters to women trainees. I also toured the Lloyds Academy, including the Driving School, Digital Lab, Welding Simulator Lab, Welding Training Area and Automotive Two-Wheeler Lab, and was encouraged to see the world-class skill development facilities creating opportunities for the youth of the district. I wish people all the success as they build brighter futures for themselves & for Gadchiroli.

My first step towards the austerity measures envisioned by Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi ji: putting nation first. I was honoured with an invitation to represent Maharashtra, its culture and our glorious handloom heritage at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. A magnificent Paithani from Yeola, crafted with months of dedication by our artisans, was prepared for this special occasion. However, in view of the Prime Minister’s call to minimise international travel and embrace austerity, I have decided to respectfully forgo my visit to Cannes. This was not an easy decision, considering the love, effort and artistry invested in this journey. But when the nation calls, we must always stand by it with sincerity and conviction.
