Disgraceful scenes in Argyle St. Glasgow yesterday as some Orange Walk followers meted out horrendous abuse to a small group of peaceful Palestinian protesters. As well the physical assaults, "Red Hand of Ulster" aka Gnat-Sea salutes were thrown, plus I*F chants. Remarkably, a few of those losing the plot were accompanied by their kids. Credit to the young protestor who remained calm throughout the onslaught. It's worth stressing that only a small minority of the Boyne Parade followers were involved. The vast majority passed by peacefully. The Orange Order in Scotland must despair every time they witness such scenes. They've spent the last few years changing the focus and direction of the organisation in attempt to bring it in to the 21st Century and eradicate this type of behaviour but I fear that it's far too deeply ingrained in some people.

Be prepared to have your hankies at the ready as super dad Daizen Maeda 前田 大然 plays on the pitch with his delightful family for what's likely to be the last time, following today's Celtic - Hearts game. Three more minutes of this mega wholesomeness can be found on the YT channel - see link below.

Did anyone notice the rather farcical scenes as Kieran Tierney was subbed during today's Celtic - St Mirren League Cup Final. It appeared Wilfried Nancy wanted to issue him with further instructions, before being told by Stevie Woods that he was offski. Suggests to me that he was either confused or someone else was pulling the strings. I'm sure something similar happened during the Roma game. I also noticed that his little magnetic tactics board has been replaced by a notepad. Hopefully he didn't ditch it just because of the criticism he received.

Hilarious scenes ensue as Rod Stewart goes into panic mode after being barred from entering the ground until the Celtic team go in first. You'd have expected him to turn round, boo Hearts then cheer the Team rather than hide away like a little weed. Do we think you're sexy, Rod? No. Do we think you're a royalist loving, freeloader. Yes.

Does anyone remember Saint Etienne (the 90s indie dance darlings, rather than the French football team whose presence graced Glasgow in the 1976 European Cup Final vs Bayern Munich)? Here they are in action last night at the Piece Hall in Halifax, supporting Belle & Sebastian.

No Orange Walk (Boyne Parade) in Glasgow would be complete without the Staunch Steward and he doesn't let us down - demonstrating that he's still got the moves which cemented his place in Ibrox folklore. Full video on YT (See link below) has the usual hilarious assortment of clips from today's Walk.

Bizarre scenes at the end of today's Celtic - St Mirren League Cup Final as Wilfried Nancy gives half-hearted handshakes to clearly disinterested players, with Calmac in particular seeming to blank him Any decent man-manager would have tried to console and offer words of encouragement to a shell-shocked team after such a devastating result but that task was left to Alistair Johnston. Hopefully my interpretation is totally wrong but I can't help feeling that a rift has emerged, with Wilfried sadly losing the dressing room. The full video (see below) shows him looking totally bewildered at the proceedings.

Kasper Schmeichel goes over to applaud the travelling Celtic support after the Motherwell game then performs a rapid u-turn (quite possibly the quickest he moved all night) as the fans give himself and the rest of the team pelters. To add insult to injury, a couple of the 'Well players undertake some wacky celebrations whilst the Celtic team trudge off.

Many Gen X & Boomers will no doubt recollect the 70s/80s US sitcom "Happy Days" starring Henry Winkler as the Fonz. Looks like our own version - Mark Fotheringham aka The Fozz - is bringing back the happy days at Celtic Park with intensetah as he injects his infectious enthusiasm into the players going up the tunnel after today's game against Dundee United.

Meet the latest pop sensation: Jim E. Brown, a 19 year-old obese alcoholic from Didsbury, Manchester - live at a packed-out Stereo in Glasgow. Great gig, but black marks to the tosser who launched a Greggs sausage roll which hit the unfortunate Jim square in the face.

Today we witnessed a facet of Reo Hatate he rarely reveals. Shedding aside his usual dour demeanour, he demonstrated his sensitive & caring nature to put a rather shy young mascot at ease as Celtic & Motherwell lined-up. Ever the perfectionist, his mistake which resulted in the 'Well opener, clearly weighed heavily on his mind at full time judging by his reaction. If he's able to maintain his composure and play to his full potential in the remaining games, he'll be no doubt be a vital cog in driving the Team to another league title.

Raging Bears show unusual restraint as the Sean "Maxi" McIlvenna RFB march past the "Quintessential" Rangers pub, the Louden Tavern, as part of the Martin "Doco" Doherty commemoration parade in Govan today. I'm quite surprised that Robert Marshall, inn-keeper extraordinaire, didn't come rushing out and demand a fee for filming his premises, given his propensity for money grabbing. Who can forget him ripping off fellow Bears with his £55 fleg, commemorating Rangers' 2021 league title, which apparently cost £3 to produce.

Claudio Braga, Hearts Player of the Year, has always struck me as being a quite amiable guy so I can only assume the fact that he went Gorgie Gaga on Saturday was down to being "Under Pressure". It was a case of "Don't Stop Me Now" as he tried to confront Celtic fans who had invaded the picture in good nature after Callum Osmand's goal had sealed the title for the Bhoys. Thankfully a member of the Hearts coaching staff restrained him as as shouted "I Want to Break Free". Could well be that he didn't want to hear "We are the Champions" played after the game. Right, that's enough of trying to fit Queen song titles in !!!!

Bit of a riddy for the Union Bears as their grand entrance was spoiled by Celtic fans belting out "Boys of the Old Brigade". Was quite surprised that the Rangers DJ didn't try to drown them out as he had earlier played Penny Arcade at full blast.

Blackpool fans firmly cemented their place in the vile sectarian, right-wing racist camp with a torrent of vitriol aimed at Wrexham hero James McClean yesterday. Remarkably, "F*ck the Pope" was also chanted with gusto. James, however, gave as good as he got as these clips show

Wilfried Nancy looked absolutely devastated - heading up the tunnel immediately after congratulating Rohl on Rangers' victory, following a second-half Celtic collapse. The team joined him a minute later, after performing the shortest "lap of honour" ever. I momentarily put my phone down, only to find the "lap" was finished, with the players heading to the dressing room for, presumably, a well-deserved dressing-down.

Kasper Schmeichel usually epitomises the idiom "cool, calm & collected" but he was visibly upset as he remonstrated with ref Nick Walsh after the Scottish Cup tie between Celtic & Kilmarnock, before being ushered away by Brendan. Heartening to see this display of passion, though
