Yoruba is also tonal language with every word ending in viral sounds. Some dialects are spoken as if you are singing. That is why it has always been a preferred choice for singing by most people - even those who are not Yorubas. Christy Essien was not Yoruba but her biggest musical legacy is a Yoruba song 'Seun Rere'. It is a musical language with a family of drums, including one that mimics the language's tonality. What you call Yoruba tax is a blessing from God to the Yorubas & those who are ready to partake of it.

Even though Pastor Adeboye's influence as a Christian leader extends into multiple continents, he has never been known to use the pulpit to advance partisan politics. Every sensible politician knows that. There has never been a political movement obnoxious enough to consistently attack him for not openly endorsing their candidate or helping them to attack his political opponents. Anyone doing so is on evil assignment.

The earliest memories of what crusades were being taken by my sisters to the one Prophet Obadare used to hold on the grounds of the National stadium Surulere in the early 80s. Then, we'd begin the long walk with thousands of other Lagosians because buses were never enough.
