Enormously frustrating night on ranked. I started out well and went up to 1750, tilted, went down a whole 100 points, and crawled back to 1700 on raging unhinged autopilot. Got a few cool clips of wakeup 2[HP] working out, though. Blows up neutral jump and some delay buttons.

“Guile is Marisa’s only winning matchup” really just makes this shit suck more because what am I supposed to learn when I go into replay review and it’s just “PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT” and if I try to jump she dies Skill issue I know but I’m exasperated

REACTIONS ARE LEARNABLE. Still not seeing full translation into my real matches, but I will get there.

This is how I spend my time now. Today I also turned on the whiff sweep recording and attempted to either anti-air, whiff punish, OR counter-DI. It’s a brutal drill, but it’s the way forward.

Instead of entering TNS or playing ranked, tonight I spent 40 minutes doing this. Back. to. basics. Can’t afford to get cocky because of my MR last phase or my EVO placing. Just drilling the reactions I want to have until they happen automatically.

Infexious’ use of the Marisa armor command grab AA OS has me convinced I need to learn it. It’s very doable in the sterile environment of the lab, but it feels very awkward in real matches where I’m still absolutely not doing it on reaction to jumps yet, especially cross-ups.

A summary of tonight’s SF6 ranked experience (feat. censorship kitties.) And yes, it was even worse in game two.
