- H.E Said Abdullahi Deni ’s record disqualifies him from leading Somalia not because of ambition but because of consequence. He sided with Ethiopia during the illegal MoU crisis at a moment when Somalia’s sovereignty was under direct challenge. He aligned with the UAE when the Federal Government suspended security cooperation in defense of national authority. He opposed lifting the UN arms embargo, prolonging Somalia’s dependence while our security forces sought self reliance. He resisted the National ID system in Puntland, obstructing a foundational pillar of modern statehood. He rejected 1P1V electoral progress in Mogadishu, signaling discomfort with democratic expansion. He opposed debt relief efforts that restored Somalia’s financial credibility and reopened access to global institutions. He froze cooperation with the Federal Government and even floated the idea of a separate regional currency. Now he campaigns for Villa Somalia yet refuses to meet the sitting President in Villa Somalia. Leadership is measured by whether you strengthen the state in difficult moments. His record shows the opposite.
