URGENT SENIOR IN POLK COUNTY, GA‼️‼️‼️ "My name is Romeit. My 'family' didn’t bring me here themselves‼️💔💔💔💔💔 They called the shelter … and asked if someone would come get me. So someone did. The reason they gave for not wanting me anymore - I was becoming a nuisance. And now I’m here. Alone💔💔💔💔💔💔💔 I’m a senior girl at 12 years old. My muzzle is gray. My joints are stiff💔 I’m heartworm positive because no one ever gave me the monthly pill💔I’ve lived outside for 12 years‼️‼️Through every storm‼️Every winter‼️Every hot Georgia summer.‼️ I’ve never had a bed. I’ve never slept inside. I’ve never been told “goodnight.” 💔 I’m not angry. I’m just tired. I sit when they ask me to. I walk slow on the leash. 💔 I look at the door every time it opens. But it’s never for me.💔 I know I’m old.💔 I know what that means in a shelter. It means people keep walking. 💔 But I still lift my head when someone passes my kennel. 💔 Because what if? What if this time, you stop? What if you see me and not just my problems? I don’t want much.🙏💔 I want to know what carpet feels like🙏💔 I want to know what it’s like to be inside when it rains. BEYOND URGENT!! 💔💔💔💔💔 🚨 douglas is STILL at the shelter and can be euthanized at any moment without further notice. we don’t know if he was extended until 5 pm like some of the other dogs today. he needs an immediate exit NOW before it’s too late 💔 VIDEO JUST TAKEN!! please contact the shelter immediately if you can save his life and keep sharing/networking for him urgently. 🚨 DOUGLAS SCHEDULED FOR EUTHANASIA TODAY MAY 15 🚨 douglas came into ARC shelter on 4/18/26 after being found already microchipped, though sadly his owner did not come to reclaim him. since then, he has been sitting in the shelter waiting for someone to notice him again, to choose him again, to give him a place where he doesn’t have to wait behind kennel bars anymore. in the kennel, douglas is described as kennel stressed and declining, with barrier reactivity when people approach. it’s the kind of response that often builds up in a confined environment where excitement, frustration, and stress have nowhere to go. but once he’s outside of that kennel space, the notes shift in a very important way, he is people friendly. he can connect. he can engage. he shows that there is still a social, receptive dog underneath the stress of the kennel. he is a dog who needs understanding more than judgment, and space more than pressure. a dog who is still there when the kennel door opens, even if the kennel itself has made things harder for him. douglas is still waiting. today, may 13 at 5pm, douglas is scheduled for euthanasia at ARC shelter, california, if no one steps up for him. he is a german shepherd, tan and black, neutered male, 2 years old. #a008021 IMPORTANT: If you have any interest at all, please reach out to them now! Sherry Kersey texted me on Sunday morning, saying The vet staff asked if I could make a video for him… and I did.People shared, Sharon Barchuk reached out to all the rescues and just 2 days later Hero Dog Rescue stepped in to save him. They are a fully foster-based rescue, and thanks to his amazing foster mom, Apollo is now safe, loved, and beginning to heal.Thank you to Hero Dog Rescue, his foster mom, and every single person who shared, pledged, and commented. ‼️‼️COBB COUNTY, GA‼️‼️ Rocky (21683) is available for adoption… ⬇️ READ HIS STORY ⬇️ Rocky is only 4 years old, hound mix. He arrived at the shelter just two weeks ago, on August 12th. He was found as a stray with an ID, so the shelter reached out to his family. Sadly, they decided not to come for him… 🥺💔 Ever since Rocky arrived, he has been struggling here. He spends his days curled up in his bed, and recently, he stopped eating. The shelter has been trying to get him to eat by adding wet food to his dry food, but he still wasn’t eating.💔 In just two weeks at the shelter, Rocky has lost 7 pounds‼️💔 Today, I was asked to go visit Rocky because he really needed help and visibility. I decided I was also going to try to feed him. I thought maybe if I hand-fed him, he would be willing to eat. Maybe he just needed to feel loved. Maybe he needed someone to sit with him and remind him that he wasn’t alone. So I got a can of wet food and took Rocky into the bonding room. And he ate. ❤️😭🙏🏻 He ate half of the can, and that absolutely made my entire day.💖 Rocky is such a sweet boy, but he is also incredibly sad. You can see how much this environment is affecting him. I took him outside, took him for a walk, spent some time with him, and told him that he was loved. Before I left, I put him back in his kennel, and he went straight back to his bed.💔 I promised him that together, we would find him a family.💖 Please, please help me keep my promise. 💔 The longer Rocky stays in this overcrowded shelter, the harder it is becoming for him... He desperately needs someone to come save his life. Please don’t let Rocky become another dog who loses hope inside a shelter kennel. He deserves a family who will love him, give him time to heal, and never give up on him. Rocky is waiting. Please don’t let him wait much longer. ❤️ (He shows positive body language around other dogs on his walks. 💔💔COBB COUNTY, GA💔💔💔 FROM FB: Today, while volunteering at the shelter and walking my row of dogs, I noticed a different dog in another row sitting quietly in the corner of her kennel… shaking and trying to make herself as small as possible. I looked at her kennel card and learned her name was Hazel and she had just been surrendered yesterday . 😭💔 I decided to go sit with her, hoping I could make her day just a little bit better. Little did I know… she would be the one making mine.🥹 Hazel was terrified and unsure of everyone around her. But little by little, she found the courage to take one step… then another… until she came over, kissed my face, and reminded me just how sweet she truly is. I later learned that Hazel was surrendered because the family cat repeatedly attacked her. 🥺 And through no fault of her own, she lost the only home she knew. Hazel is only 2 years old. She’s dog-friendly, good with kids, housebroken, and crate-trained. She has so much love to give, yet tonight she’s sleeping in a shelter kennel instead of a home. I spent a long time with her today, holding her close and reminding her that she is a good girl… that she is loved, that she is seen, and that someone still cares about her. Before I closed her kennel door, I made Hazel a promise.. I promised her I would share her story with the world. And I told her that I have an incredible village of people who always show up when a dog needs them most. Now I’m asking that village for one more favor. Please help me keep my promise to Hazel. 🥺🙏🏻😭 Share her story. Tell your friends and family about her. UPDATE FROM COBB COUNTY, GA!!! 🎉 IT’S ZEUS’ FREEDOM RIDE 🎉 Zeus was a 10 year old senior dog whose story really broke our hearts. 💔 Apparently, his family moved out of their home and left him behind completely alone. He was found two weeks later and brought to the shelter. When Zeus first arrived, you could tell he was heartbroken. He barely wagged his tail, didn’t want to get out of bed, and just seemed so defeated by the world around him. Even when he started coming out with us volunteers, he stayed very quiet and withdrawn… 🥺 Then one incredibly sweet couple drove all the way from Chattanooga just to meet him… and the second they saw Zeus, they knew he was meant to be theirs. 🧡 When we brought Zeus into the office to get him dressed up for his big day, something about him already felt different. It was almost like he knew his life was about to change. The moment he saw his new parents sitting in the lobby, he immediately went right up to them like he had been waiting for them his entire life. 🥹 When they opened the car door, Zeus tried SO hard to climb in as fast as he could. We were all laughing through tears because although he’s an older senior boy, he was determined to make sure he wasn’t getting left behind again. And the second he got into that car, everything changed. That sad, quiet, heartbroken dog slowly disappeared right before our eyes. Zeus started smiling, rolling onto his back, asking for love, and soaking up every second of freedom. I truly believe he knew exactly what was happening 😭❤️ His new mom sat in the backseat beside him the whole drive home. She kissed him on the head, and Zeus looked back at all of us one last time… almost like he was saying thank you, and then laid down right next to Mom … His new family decided to rename him Worthy because they said he is worthy of love, and I truly do not think there could have been a more perfect name for him. It was such an honor to be part of your journey, Zeus. 💙 Thank you to this amazing couple for giving him the beautiful life he always deserved. Freedom looks so good on you, Worthy!! 😭🎉❤️

KINGSTON IS BREAKING MY HEART‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ PLEASE SOMEONE SEE HIM & RESCUE HIS SWEET PUPPY SELF🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 URGENT IN COBB COUNTY, GA‼️‼️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Kingston is up for adoption at: 📍 Cobb County Animal Services - Marietta, Georgia ☎️ (770) 499-4136 READ HIS STORY ⬇️ Today, while I was volunteering at the shelter, one of the officers asked if I could make a video for a puppy because this was already his fourth time at the shelter… I couldn’t believe what I had just heard. 🥺 Then she told me that Kingston is only six months old and has already been adopted and returned three times. Apparently, he first arrived at the shelter as a stray when he was only four months old. A family adopted him and later returned him, saying that he had too much energy. After that, he was adopted once again and brought back because, once again, he had too much energy and they just couldn’t keep up with him. The third time he was adopted, he was returned yet again. This time, they said that he had too much energy and that they were moving. I honestly don’t even know what to say. I couldn’t believe it, and my heart broke for Kingston. 💔😭 I took him on a walk and made this video for him today. I spent a long time with him, and during the entire visit, he was one of the sweetest puppies. He was just so happy to be surrounded by people. At one point, Kingston grabbed a toy and decided that he wanted to bring it with us on our walk… and he did. For the entire walk, he proudly carried his toy everywhere he went. He is only six months old. He is not “too much.” He is a puppy!!! Puppies need patience. They need training. They need time to learn and grow… And despite everything he has been through in his short life, Kingston still greets the world with a wagging tail, a toy in his mouth, and hope that someone out there will finally keep him forever. URGENT DEAF PUPPY IN COBB COUNTY, GA‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ 💔💔💔💔💔🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Julie (16675) is up for adoption at: Cobb County Animal Services, Marietta, GA (770) 499-4136 READ HER STORY… ⬇️ Julie is only 8 months old and she is deaf. She was surrendered to the shelter on June 28 when her family was preparing to welcome a new baby. They shared that she is housebroken, good with children, good with other dogs, and already knows several hand signals. Normally, puppies don’t stay in the shelter for very long. But Julie has been there for almost 1 month…🥺 Every time someone stops at her kennel, they smile… until they hear one word. Deaf. 💔💔💔💔💔 Then they keep walking. 😭 After spending time with Julie, my heart absolutely broke for her. She is incredibly sweet, so gentle when taking treats, eager to please, and unbelievably smart. She already knows hand signals for sit, down, and paw, and she’s ready to learn so much more. Being deaf does not make Julie a difficult dog. It simply means she communicates a little differently. Dogs don’t care how we communicate… they just want to understand us. Julie can learn just like any other dog with patience, consistency, and love. If you’re looking for a calmer dog who’s a little more chill, then a puppy probably isn’t the right fit for you… deaf or not. Please keep that in mind before adopting a puppy. They have lots of energy, they need guidance, they need patience, and they need someone who is willing to teach them how to navigate the world.
