As our mission manifest grows, so have our facilities! Firefly has made improvements at our Rocket Ranch and doubled the size of our campus in Cedar Park, Texas with a new innovation lab and expansive cleanroom to enable an assembly line of lunar landers and orbital vehicles. Read more here:

Our #GhostRiders completed another lunar orbit maneuver with a 3 minute, 18 second burn early this morning. This maneuver moved the lander from a high elliptical orbit to a much lower elliptical orbit around the Moon. Shortly after the burn, Blue Ghost captured incredible footage of the Moon's far side, about 120 km above the surface. In this orbit, the team will experience planned rolling comms blackouts as Blue Ghost goes around the far side of the Moon. When on the near side, the team will continue to downlink data and finalize the plan for our next maneuver that will get Blue Ghost even closer to the lunar surface and keep us right on track for landing on March 2. #BGM1

Separation test complete for Blue Ghost Mission 2! This test demonstrated the mechanisms on Elytra that release our Dual Payload Attach Fitting and enable the deployment of European Space Agency’s Lunar Pathfinder satellite into lunar orbit following separation of Blue Ghost. Shortly after landing, #BlueGhost deployed four tethered Lunar Magnetotelluric Sounder (LMS) electrodes to the surface and a 8-foot mast above our top deck. Look closely in the video below! These instruments will allow NASA and the Southwest Research Institute team to study the deep interior of the Moon - up to 2/3rds the distance to the Moon's center - to learn more about the structure and composition of the Moon’s mantle.

Update on Alpha Flight 7: Following the ground test event in late September, our team identified root cause and implemented corrective actions. As the path forward, we’re using another Alpha first stage from our production line to support the mission, with launch targeted between late Q4 and early Q1, depending on range availability. Just over 4 days on the Moon's surface and #BlueGhost is checking off several science milestones! 8 out of 10 NASA payloads, including LPV, EDS, NGLR, RAC, RadPC, LuGRE, LISTER, and SCALPSS, have already met their mission objectives with more to come. Lunar PlanetVac for example successfully collected, transferred, and sorted lunar soil from the Moon using pressurized nitrogen gas. Alpha Flight 7's first stage shipped out from our Rocket Ranch in Texas and arrived safely at Vandenberg Space Force Base! Up next, we'll integrate the two stages in preparation for a static fire test ahead of launch in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more.
