What’s hotter than a Texas summer? Our Miranda engine.🔥 We fired our Miranda engine at full power for 226 seconds— that’s almost 4 minutes! This endurance test verifies that the engine can perform beyond the nominal flight duration, meaning this engine is one step closer to being ready for flight. Seven of these Miranda engines will generate the thrust needed to lift our Eclipse rocket off the launch pad and propel it into orbit.

The next evolution of Alpha. Block II is the next-generation configuration of our Alpha rocket and the only operational U.S. 1-ton rocket. The striking white exterior isn't just for looks—it enhances thermal protection and is one of several engineering upgrades across the vehicle. ✅ 7-foot length increase ✅ In-house batteries & avionics ✅ Enhanced thermal protection ✅ Stronger carbon composite structures built with automated systems A bold new look. Built with purpose.

Oh wait, that’s literally a rocket! 🚀 Two years ago, as students sang the national anthem, our Alpha rocket lit up the sky in the distance, creating an unforgettable moment. This weekend as we celebrate Independence Day, we’re reminded of 250 years of American innovation, ambition, and unity. Happy 4th of July from all of us at Firefly! Shortly after landing, #BlueGhost deployed four tethered Lunar Magnetotelluric Sounder (LMS) electrodes to the surface and a 8-foot mast above our top deck. Look closely in the video below! These instruments will allow NASA and the Southwest Research Institute team to study the deep interior of the Moon - up to 2/3rds the distance to the Moon's center - to learn more about the structure and composition of the Moon’s mantle.

Just over 4 days on the Moon's surface and #BlueGhost is checking off several science milestones! 8 out of 10 NASA payloads, including LPV, EDS, NGLR, RAC, RadPC, LuGRE, LISTER, and SCALPSS, have already met their mission objectives with more to come. Lunar PlanetVac for example successfully collected, transferred, and sorted lunar soil from the Moon using pressurized nitrogen gas. Congrats to the Honeybee Robotics, a Blue Origin Company and NASA team! Follow along for more #BGM1 updates:
