Rogan dropped an interview with Spencer Pratt - LA guy told me to watch, probably knowing it would raise my blood pressure. Pratt is running for mayor, and the episode goes into detail about all the NGO fraud. Here they are talking about how of all the tens of millions in charity raised to help people whose houses burned down in the 2025 fire, basically none of it went to victims. NGOs got the $$ and wasted it. So it’s no shocker that so few homes in places like Pacific Palisades have been rebuilt. If you’re in LA you should take a look - and if you’re not, but want further insight into how the various NGOs rip off taxpayers for things like homelessness without ever solving the problem, it will interest you too.

Sam Harris is the gift that keeps on giving. Here he is talking about the murder of Charlie Kirk - and he says there is no party on the left that supports this. Then he blames Trump and Elon for dousing the ground with gasoline to create circumstances where this could happen:

Zulu Dawn (1979) is one of the most unintentionally RW movies ever produced. It was supposed to show the dark side of British imperialism - but they made it look so fun. And the British defeat comes off like a Shakespearean tragedy to respect, not something to be ashamed of.

Bret Weinstein explains succinctly today on Rogan how our voting system is designed to be gamed. His point about exit polling is a particularly good one. If in person voting isn’t the exclusive method, exit polling cannot be used to detect fraud - and that’s not an accident.

So the latest Rogan/Andreessen interview starts off with a bang. They discover ‘teenagers,’ who went on a crime spree in Austin after the city turned off the surveillance cameras ‘for political reasons.’ Think how crazy that is - the govt deliberately facilitated crime.

Donald Trump is the first POTUS since Eisenhower to praise Robert E. Lee openly. He is talking about the Lincoln bedroom, and Lincoln’s loss of his son Tad, then he shifts to the Civil War. The idea that Trump is ignorant is so stupid. Kamala would not know who Tad was.

One reason the Sopranos was popular was humor that worked for the left & right. Here Phil Leotardo consoles his cousin about her husband being gay. A leftist laughs AT Phil, thinks he’s a Neanderthal. Many conservatives are laughing WITH him - he’s saying what they can’t say.

So Robert Duvall died. Terrible news - he was an outstanding actor, great range - made every film/show he did better. I always liked this scene from Apocalypse Now where he forces his soldiers to go surfing in the middle of a combat zone because the waves were just too good.

Here is James Lindsay criticizing Christopher F. Rufo ⚔️ for pursuing the same objectives as Lindsay. Lindsay doesn’t like that Rufo has relied on Burnham as a ‘former Marxist’ - even though Burnham is a totally mainstream dead NR guy. But Lindsay can’t even remember Burnham’s name.

I’ve listened to Scott Adams for 10 years. When he announced his cancer diagnosis and imminent death in May, I was impressed with his stoicism, which he kept up to the end. This will be my last post on this, b/c it starts to feel exploitative. But his words here are gold:

One aspect of film history that interests me is the decision-making of actors. They can have a lot of talent, but lack judgment and have bad advisors, and inhibit their careers. Take Burt Reynolds. He was talented and handsome, and he did a lot of good work. But he never won an Oscar, and that bothered him, and he will not be remembered as an all-time great. Why? Well, he turned down offers to be McMurphy in One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, which became one of Jack Nicholson’s best roles. He pulled himself out of the running to be James Bond. He didn’t want the role of Hans Solo in Star Wars, which did a lot for Harrison Ford. Now consider this role he took as a porn director/producer in Boogie Nights. He was fantastic - totally believable and hilarious. But he was upset about the movie after it came out, and embarrassed about being seen as a sleazy pornographer. Yet it’s one of the best things he ever did. He didn’t like some of his best work. It’s just an interesting conundrum - that a man can have skills as an actor but lack judgment and intelligence. This is probably very common among a group of people who get paid to perform lines someone else wrote. Pretending to be other people is on a lower level than writing and conceiving a story.

I usually avoid all this stuff but I am making an exception because I cannot believe how stupid and out of touch Piers Morgan and Dr. Phil are. Phil is congratulating Piers on getting Fuentes to ‘acknowledge the Holocaust.’ That isn’t what happened. Nick trolled Piers successfully, at one point saying it might have been ‘100 times more’ than 6 million. He was making fun of Piers, who didn’t even realize it. These older media people are going to need to hire some younger people to give them a crash course in online discourse if they are going to wade into these waters - because both of these old guys made asses of themselves here.

This got some attention so here you go. It’s long, but you get definitive proof of what physicists call the ‘many worlds theory,’ and you will learn of a dimension where the US conquered Canada, and the Confederacy conquered Mexico, while ending slavery under President RE Lee:

People on the right (and in the center) need to understand that the left really views enforcement of immigration law as Nazism, and they plan to retaliate. Kara Swisher here compares Stephen Miller to Heinrich Himmler - and by implication Trump to Hitler. She’s not kidding.

Here is a snippet from an interview Scott Adams gave to Reason in 2015 explaining what he called Trump’s ‘linguistic kill shot.’ Like a lot of people at that time, I didn’t fully understand Trump’s political success. Adams explained much of it - far earlier than anyone else.

Beethoven did something unique in this piano sonata. He created a theme for his sonata movement - and then used it for a fugue, which replaced the development section of the standard classical era form. It sounds a lot like Bach, it’s brilliant and beautiful - I want you to hear.
