Yesterday, Saturday the 8th of August 2026 we had the honour of celebrating the retirement of Principal T.M Khosa, the most distinguished and accomplished Principal of Mahonisi Primary School. Mahonisi Primary School begun its operations in the 1930s and consistly educated the people of Mahonisi and surrounding areas. Principal Khosa worked at the school for 36 years and was Principal for 21 years. She leaves the school in a far much more better and superior condition than when she arrived. During her tenure, she oversaw the building of new classrooms, administration blocks, safe ablution facilities, and qualitatively and quantitatively improved the output of the school. She’s amongst the best women we celebrate during today’s Women’s Day. Happy Women’s Day!
