BIG WIN for India! For years, many companies in India sold "frozen desserts" in the name of ice cream using palm oil and other vegetable fats instead of real milk. But today, Kwality Wall's global CEO has announced that by next year, their products will become real ice creams, with milk instead of palm oil. Honestly, just the way we criticize brands we need to appreciate them too when they do a good job! This is what happens when people start reading labels and asking questions. In the last few years, so many companies have made improvements in their products. Imagine the impact if crores of Indians start reading labels together. Once again, thank you, Kwality Walls, for taking this step! I want to thank Amul and other companies as well for running several campaigns on this, which had a major contribution to this change happening. Let's make India healthy again! Label Padhega India!

Bad news. Fake ORS ban has been paused by the Delhi high court. ORSL has been allowed to sell 180 crore of their stock first. ORSL sells at 45 rupees per pack, so basically they want to sell 4 crore (180/45) fake ORS packs. These fake products have up to 10 times more sugar than real ORS, and can be dangerous for kids suffering from diarrhea. I request all Indians to unite and support Dr.Sivaranjini in the fight against fake ORS. Please share this across all platforms so that we can put public pressure to not have any fake ORS sold. #ORS #FoodPharmer

I lab tested all major Indian paneer brands, the results are SHOCKING! Here’s what we found: - All the branded paneer (Amul, iD, Milky Mist etc) we tested passed; the labels were largely accurate. - Shockingly, all the roadside paneer and paneer from a dairy shop failed the test. They were selling analogue paneer, made from palm oil. In comparison with real paneer, analogue paneer has 50% less protein, almost no calcium, and negligible vitamin B12. India has milllions of street food vendors and dairies selling “paneer” so imagine how much fake paneer must be getting sold. These lab tests are very expensive, I have spent my own savings to run these lab tests, and I want to thank all of you for supporting this fight for honest food. Please share this video on paneer scams with your friends and family. Comment which category we must test next! Let’s Make India Healthy Again! - Food Pharmer

Dr. Sivaranjani got a court case! For 8 years, Dr Sivaranjani has been raising concerns about fake ORS! Last week she got a court case from one such company. Companies in India spend crores on lawyers and Bollywood celebrities. Imagine if they instead spent on good quality ingredients as well? This is not just a court case on Dr. Sivaranjani, this is also an attack on freedom of speech. Companies should remember that Freedom of Speech allows Freedom to Criticize. Share this video to support Dr.Sivaranjini and help this reach more Indians.

Big win! Lay's India to reduce palm oil usage! Last month, I made a video showcasing how Lay's India uses palm oil but Lay's USA does not use Palm oil! After a lot of public pressure, Lays India has set a public statement that they have begun the process to replace palm oil in their Lays! After Lays stops palm oil, it will also put pressure on all other brands like Bingo, Haldiram to potentially replace palm oil! This is a major victory for the health of all Indians! Let us all unite and keep fighting to make India healthy! #LabelPadhegaIndia

Shockingly, Maggi just launched a “double masala” version with 2 masala sachets in 1 pack. A regular maggi is already high in sodium, and I’m shocked to see Maggi launching a double sodium version. A double masala maggi has 1180mg of sodium. Adults should have maximum 2000mg sodium daily, and kids should have even lesser amount of sodium. But Indians consume roughly 4400mg sodium daily, more than TWICE the suggested amount. It is no-coincidence that India is soon becoming the heart-attack capital of the world, with many young Indians getting heart attacks. Maggi must rethink its decision to roll out a “double masala” as these products can be addictive for kids and dangerous for adults as well if consumed in excess! Share if you agree!

India is the diabetes capital of the world and heart-attacks are rising amongst the youth. Most Indians think we are getting sick because of eating at restaurants. But we eat at restaurants only around 6 times per month on average, which means we eat at home the remaining 84 meals per month (assuming we have 3 meals a day). Why are we increasingly falling sick in spite of eating at home? One of the reasons is because of the quality of our packaged food. According to studies, India's packaged food is the worst in the world. A study which analyzed 4 lakh products across the world found that Indian packaged food has the most sugar, salt, saturated fat and calories compared to other countries. (Source: George Institute for Global Health) This low quality packaged food is what most Indians eat at home. "Ghar pe khana" and "ghar ka khaana" are two very different things! Sirf ghar pe mat khaiye, ghar ka khana khaiye!

Major Update: We got Sunfeast to pull down their Dark Fantasy ad within 12 hours. Two days back, I asked Sunfeast to remove their ad. This Sunfeast ad suggested that parents should pack chocolate instead of veggies in their kids’ tiffin. Sunfeast removed those ads within 12 hours of my request. Thank you Sunfeast! Thank you to every single person who stood with me on this journey. Your support is the reason this movement works. Let’s keep pushing. Let’s keep calling out misleading marketing. Let’s make India healthy again.

PALM OIL IS IN EVERYTHING! From your biscuits, chips, noodles, ice creams, bread to even toothpaste and lipstick! More than 50% of the heart attacks in India occur amongst those below 50 years of age. One of the reasons behind this is our high palm consumption. Till the early 1990s, India was self-sufficient in edible oils. But today, India is the world’s largest importer of palm oil in the world and we import around Rs. 50,000 crore of palm oil every year. Thankfully, there are 2 simple ways we can reduce palm oil usage which I have highlighted in this video. Let us join hands and reduce our palm oil usage which will help 1) reduce India’s import burden 2) improve our health 3) protect the environment! Please share!
