It is unfortunate for the doubters, but it appears Lions NT Tyleik Williams is developing into one of the better nose tackles in football. He more than held his own in Weeks 1-2 against two high-quality centers in the Saints’ Erik McCoy and Bills’ Connor McGovern.

Every pass-blocking snap from Lions RT Blake Miller against Jets second-overall pick DE David Bailey. 📽️ Miller’s 73.2 PFF offensive grade ranks second among all rookie OL this season and is the fourth-highest by any rookie OT through three weeks over the last four seasons.

2023 Blake Miller (#78) vs. Rueben Bain Jr. (#44) Providing the other 10 snaps where Miller and Bain were matched up from three years ago — beyond the screenshot play below. That screenshot play accounted for one of just two sacks Miller allowed across 539 pass-blocking snaps as a true sophomore. Worth noting: screenshots of football plays are often misleading, lack context, and are generally unhelpful. That rep came 2,200+ snaps ago, and Miller has made significant year-over-year strides — it’s not reflective of the player the Detroit Lions selected in Round 1.

I’m requiring you to watch Penei Sewell bury Isaiah McGuire and then celebrate with Jahmyr Gibbs in the end zone at half-speed. Best run blocker in football, and it’s not up for debate. Outstanding execution by the entire right side — everyone bought in and did their job.

Detroit Lions sixth-round DT Skyler Gill-Howard (#0) highlights 🎬 📽️ Games Watched: vs. Oregon State, @ Utah, vs. Kent State, vs. Arkansas–Pine Bluff Sometimes he makes plays that made me wonder if he’s from the Matrix. Gill-Howard’s October ankle surgery this past season might end up being one of the best things to happen to the Lions this draft cycle — limiting his exposure and available tape at Texas Tech, while also preventing pre-draft athletic testing.

Detroit Lions fifth-round WR Kendrick Law was initially my biggest surprise from the Lions’ 2026 NFL Draft class. It stopped being a surprise after watching his run-blocking reps over the last three years. He’s one of the best run-blocking WR prospects I’ve watched. While Kentucky underutilized that part of his game in its rinky-dink offense — using him more in motion, on ball fakes, and on screen-action deception — Alabama unleashed him as a blocking weapon. Two plays that could’ve swung the Lions–Rams game a little differently if fully executed: • Lions up 7–0 on 3rd & 8 before the Rams’ second fourth-down conversion of their first TD drive — Amik Robertson just misses picking off Matthew Stafford for a second straight possession • Rams up 27–24 late in the third quarter — Jared Goff and Jameson Williams just miss on a well-thrown, under-pressure 40+ yard shot
