Established in 1895, Louis' Lunch is recognized by many as the birthplace of the hamburger. In 1900, Louis Lassen reportedly served a customer a ground beef sandwich between two slices of toast, creating what would become an American icon. What makes it even better is that they're still doing it the old-fashioned way. The burgers are cooked on original cast-iron vertical gas broilers dating back to 1898, giving every bite a flavor that's been perfected for more than a century. No gimmicks. No trendy toppings. On May 18, 1980, Mount St. Helens erupted with the force of 24 megatons of TNT, making it one of the most powerful volcanic eruptions in U.S. history. The blast was so violent it literally blew the top off the mountain, triggered massive landslides, flattened millions of trees, and sent ash across multiple states. I just watched an old commercial and I’m convinced the 70s and 80s had absolutely no adult supervision. These folks eats Chinese food and the commercial basically goes, "You know what this needs? Full commitment." 😭😂 There is a 0.0% chance this survives five minutes on today's TV. Somewhere in a boardroom a guy stood up and said, "Send it."🤯 Be honest... what’s the wildest old commercial you've seen that made you think, there is no way this aired on TV?

There’s a group of people called the Bajau… and they can dive hundreds of feet underwater with no oxygen tank. Not for sport, for survival. They spend so much time in the ocean that their bodies have actually adapted over generations. Scientists found they even have larger spleens, helping them stay underwater longer than most humans ever could. I understand training your body… but this feels like something else entirely. Only in Texas can somebody bring out a chicken fried steak so big your first thought is: “there’s no way that’s for one person.” The Wagon Wheel in Eagle Pass serves absolute perfection covered in gravy and built with zero respect for reasonable portions. Texas doesn’t do small. Could you eat the whole thing?
