DAD’S EERIE GOOGLE SEARCH: Ashley Flynn’s father testified he began questioning Caleb Flynn’s story within hours of his daughter’s killing — three days before Flynn was arrested. “Nothing in that story made sense to me,” Todd Smith told jurors, saying he questioned why the family’s dogs apparently didn’t react to an alleged intruder. His doubts led him to Google: “Can a Christian man snap and shoot his wife and kill his wife?” Smith said he then told his wife: “This really doesn’t look good on Caleb.” Flynn has pleaded not guilty. Corie Walsh's defense will argue that the Illinois mother was psychotic and that the charges do not amount to first-degree murder after she was accused of killing her 2-year-old son. "She was psychotic. And this is not a first-degree murder," Andrea Lyon told reporters. Lyon, one of Casey Anthony's former attorneys, also rejected any connection between her client’s interest in the Lindsay Clancy case and the alleged killing. "They are not correlated at all. It’s just accidental," Lyon said, calling speculation that Walsh’s actions were a copycat crime "baseless and cruel."

Lynette Hooker's husband was spotted living a quiet, seemingly unbothered life in northern California — walking dogs, sipping coffee in his garage, sifting through trash on the side of the road — four months after his wife vanished from their sailboat in the Bahamas. Brian Hooker, 58, was seen by Fox News Digital outside a home in Citrus Heights, about 15 miles northeast of Sacramento. He told investigators Lynette fell from a dinghy while the couple was returning to their sailboat, named Soulmate, during a vacation in April. He was initially detained and questioned by Bahamian authorities, then released. He has not been accused of any crime. The U.S. Coast Guard Investigative Service is leading the investigation into Lynette's disappearance. Her mother, Darlene Hamlett, says she just wants the truth and justice for her daughter.

“WERE YOU INVOLVED?” Caleb Flynn’s former mistress testified she immediately questioned whether he had something to do with his wife’s death after learning Ashley Flynn had been killed. Alleigha Botner said Flynn had told her the night before: “Tomorrow is a big day,” “I choose you” and that he was “about to be free.” When Botner learned Ashley was dead the next morning, she testified: “It just seemed like too much of a coincidence that the day he’s divorcing her, she’s just dead all of a sudden.” She messaged Flynn: “What’s going on? Were you involved? Is this real?” Botner testified Flynn did not respond. Flynn has pleaded not guilty.

An FBI psychiatrist testified Wednesday that financial pressure was among the stressors weighing on Lindsay Clancy before she killed her three children. Dr. Gregory Saathoff said Clancy, a labor and delivery nurse, had repeatedly delayed her return to work because she did not feel mentally healthy enough, and that she listed finances as a stressor in her own records. Believing "her brain had been damaged" and that she could no longer do the work she loved or help support her family, Saathoff said, left her with a sense of being a burden. Clancy faces three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of her children, Cora, Dawson and Callan. She does not dispute killing them but says she was suffering from postpartum psychosis.

Christa Pike's attorney reveals her first word's after waking up from botched execution. According to Randy Spivey, who said he was not in the room when she woke up, his understanding is that the first thing she said was, "Where am I?" and "Who are you?" Attorneys for the Tennessee woman who survived two attempted lethal injections last week said they had not expected her to recover before she woke up and started talking. Speaking with reporters outside a Davidson County courthouse after they were granted an emergency motion to preserve evidence connected to the botched procedure that left her unconscious for nearly a week, Spivey, an attorney with Tennessee's Office of the Post Conviction Defender, said Pike's team thought she was "brain dead" as of Monday evening and that they expected her to be removed from life support Tuesday. Then she unexpectedly regained consciousness. "To the shock of everyone, including me, including her team and including the medical team, Christa woke up and began talking," he said. "I do not have an explanation for what happened between Monday night and Tuesday morning, but what we do know is that Christa has a long road to recovery." She has a blood clot in one arm, developed pneumonia and is unable to swallow, he said, adding that it remains unclear whether she will ever regain the use of her arms. "Her hands looked like if you were to blow up a surgical glove," he said. Fellow Pike attorney Luke Ihnen said her legal team had filed the emergency motion to preserve evidence because she was unconscious until Tuesday and unable to request any new litigation. According to Spivey, who said he was not in the room when she woke up, his understanding is that the first thing she said was, "Where am I?" and "Who are you?" The next steps for Pike are not immediately clear. Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee has halted executions for the rest of 2026, and Assistant Attorney General Will Ayers declined to say in court Wednesday whether the state would seek another death warrant. "She survived child sexual abuse. She survived rapes of multiple men. She survived a suicide attempt when she was 12, and she survived the state's attempt to execute her," Spivey said. "She deserves answers about what was done to her, and the people of Tennessee deserve those answers, too." Download the FOX News app to follow this developing story

Lindsay Clancy's defense attorney made clear Thursday that he welcomes a retrial if the deadlocked jury cannot reach a verdict, brushing off the notion that a second trial would benefit prosecutors. Asked what he thought about the view that a retrial would favor the prosecution, Kevin Reddington answered simply: "Bring it." He said he is prepared to try the case again quickly. "I got witnesses lined up. We're all set. Dr. Resnick is ready. I'm ready. We've got all our evidence. Witnesses are available, so let's go." Reddington said that while prosecutors might try to push a retrial off "for six months or a year," he intends to move fast. On the possibility of a plea deal, he deferred to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz: "Let's see what Mr. Cruz wants to do, and then we'll talk about our options." He also showed reporters letters of support he said had come for Clancy "from all over the world," calling the response "amazing" and unlike anything he'd seen for a client. Clancy faces three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of her children, Cora, Dawson and Callan. She does not dispute killing them but says she was suffering from postpartum psychosis.
