Micah Parsons gave the #Jets choosing David Bailey (over Arvell Reese) an A grade. Parsons had Bailey 2nd on his board, Reese 9th. Said even though he himself is an off-ball LB, you just don't take an off-ball with limited pass rush snaps, 2nd overall. (🎥 Bleacher Report)

Not trying to start an argument here, BUT Arvell Reese vs Indiana is why I am not a fan of him at 2. Tweeners like Reese can become non existent in certain games vs certain teams. Reese in OSU's biggest game of the season had little to no impact (1 assisted tackle). Watch it for yourself 👇

My biggest issue with drafting Arvell Reese at 2 is I don't know what position he'll play at the next level. His run-stopping prowess is as an off-ball LB, not an EDGE. Reese has 7 sacks (0 FFs) in 30+ games at OSU and I'm just not comfortable taking a project EDGE at 2. With that said - Arvell is a very high-ceiling chess piece.

One of my favorite Day 2/3 prospects is EDGE Gabe Jacas out of Illinois. 6'4, 260 lbs: very violent, wrestling background, and a motor that never ever stops. Had 11 sacks (27 for career), 7 FFs and an 88.5 PFF pass rush grade in 2025. Kid has all the ingredients to be a menace.

I’ve said this since the offseason: the #Jets are in a REBUILD. Whether we want to accept it or not. Now that doesn’t mean they aren’t trying to win. It means every piece of the roster and staff is being evaluated. If there’s no progress by December, changes are warranted.
