This criticism is totally fair and warranted, but should be followed with the caveat; this demand letter is real and does not sugar coat ANYTHING. Reading between the lines, it represents a major change in that these organizations are no longer afraid of retaliation, if they speak up. It needs to lead to a greater participation statewide, as well as more letters (with bite) to lawmakers that they are not afraid of cracking some eggs when insisting on sound policy. A source at Seattle Police Department has come forward to Fox13's Hana Kim that Mayor Katie Wilson LIED in her press conference today, about delaying the first public briefing 5hrs to allow Gov. Ferguson and Rep. Jayapal a photo opportunity. The source told Fox13 that "Officers wanted to hold the media briefing Sunday night to update the public," but that the Mayor's office told them to "wait for dignitaries to arrive." This matches right up with the now viral video of an SPD Public Information Officer telling KOMO's Jeremy Harris that they were "waiting for dignitaries to arrive..." Washington state taxpayers are on the hook for $8 BILLION with a capitol B, for new fish culverts to help increase the salmon population. Olympia has spent $15 Million on studies to tear down hydroelectric dams along the Snake River, to help salmon spawn farther upstream. Olympia Democrats have a bill to ban all tires sold in Washington state, because they contain the chemical 6PPD which might be killing salmon fry. So it is with great irony that Sound Transit's new I-90 Light Rail bridge over Lake Washington is killing salmon through stray electric currents. And on top of that, the stray currents may also be throwing off the magnetic navigation that salmon use to return to their spawning grounds every year. We would think Sound Transit would have studied the potential for lethal electrical currents coming off the Light Rail bridge, but their long term leadership and behaviors suggest we'd be wrong. The WA state auditor got into a heated argument with a journalist during an interview after refusing to take any sort of interest in flagged daycare fraud. From unDivided's Brandi Kruse: "Anybody should be able to watch that exchange and have some very serious concerns about whether the auditor's office even cares." A King County Judge has released one of the most sexually violent prisoners in Washington state, into a quiet neighborhood in Enumclaw. Twice convicted rapist and convicted child molester Robert Lough was finally sentenced to 30 years after his 2nd rape conviction. He was so violent behind bars, that his initial 30 year prison sentence turned into 40 years. And he never got less awful. In 2023, he was found with a cell phone that contained "child exploitation videos" yet the state did not refer charges. (Had they, he might not have been released). And in 2025, he got in trouble for threatening prison guards. As if all that wasn't bad enough... Lough refused to complete Sex Offender treatment. Fox13's David Rose reports that, "experts for both the prosecution and the defense determined that, while Lough is predisposed to commit future violent acts, he is not considered to be sexually violent anymore." The forensic psychologist who examined Lough even said and we quote; "It would not be surprising if, upon release, he engaged in future acts of non-sexual violence." And yet, Washington state's "criminal first" law required this monster be released back into our community, no strings attached, no conditions, no promise that he won't victimize more people.
