This post will be a bit personal. The final monologue in GTA VI's Extended Look hit me differently. I'm in my 40s now. I was a completely different person when GTA V came out. Different stage of life, different responsibilities, different everything. More than a decade has passed, and somewhere along the way, waiting for the next GTA stopped feeling like simply waiting for another game. It became a reminder of how quickly time moves. It almost feels like Rockstar is speaking directly to those of us who have been playing these games for decades. A quiet reminder that we spend so much time waiting for the next big thing that we sometimes forget to appreciate it when it finally arrives. And I'd be lying if I said GTA VI doesn't make me wonder how many more of these moments I'll get to experience. If another GTA takes 10 or 15 years, how old will I be when I see it? How different will my life look then? How many new Grand Theft Auto games do I realistically have left in my lifetime? It's a strange thought, especially for those of us who remember when these games arrived every few years. So when GTA VI finally comes out, I don't want to rush through it. I want to take my time. Explore Vice City. Get lost in the little things. Talk about it with friends. Enjoy that rare period when everything is still new and millions of us are discovering the same world together. Because one day, GTA VI won't be the game we’re all waiting for anymore. It'll be the game we remember waiting all those years for. Enjoy it while we're here.
