A rare example of a cheat code in a Mario game is found in Mario Golf on Nintendo 64. Entering a certain string of inputs on the title screen causes the "new lap" fanfare from Mario Kart 64 to play. All characters and courses (except Mario's Star) will then be unlocked for use.

In Zelda: Ocarina of Time, if Adult Link has the Biggoron's Sword equipped, then as soon as he places the Master Sword on his back after drawing it from the pedestal in the Temple of Time, it will immediately transform back into the Biggoron's Sword.

In the Star Fox 64 remake on Switch 2, Falco no longer responds "I hear ya, Slippy" to the latter's comment on the dire state of Zoness. In a surprising new line from Fox, it seems implied that he's bitter and resentful about losing his dad - James McCloud - to Andross's forces.

The original Ocarina of Time on N64 never played the famous main theme of the Zelda series. The 3DS remake fixed that, though. And how beautifully it did.

Ganondorf's introductory final boss cutscene from Zelda: Ocarina of Time is absolutely iconic (he personally plays his signature theme tune in the scene) and helped cement his status as one of the greatest villains in gaming. Excited to see the Switch 2 version!

The only way to reach Titania in Star Fox 64 (and the Switch 2 remake) is to let Slippy get the slappy. 🐸🆘

The title cutscene of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo 64. Probably the most beautiful video game opening sequence ever created.
