Today is our Bandhav’s birthday he has turned 12 years old today. From childhood till today, our Bandhav has already visited nearly 14 tiger reserves. His very first tiger reserve, fittingly as per his name, was Bandhavgarh itself. My blessings are always with you. Just like me, exploring wildlife is a source of immense joy for him as well. These days, brothers Rantham and Bandhav have been accompanying me on forest trails, whether in Indian jungles or the Amazon rain forest.

Tiger vs Crocodile: Rare Encounters in Indian Jungles Tigers and Mugger Crocodiles two apex predators who both love water. A tiger killing a crocodile has been recorded only in Ranthambore. A crocodile killing a tiger has been recorded only in the Sundarbans. According to official forest department records, both these events are rare exceptions. Tigers are fond of water, crocodiles live in it, yet they maintain a mutual respect or perhaps healthy caution towards each other. In Ranthambore, only two legendary tigresses #Machli and #Arrowhead have successfully hunted crocodiles. In the Satpura forests, crocodiles are not naturally present. Their presence is limited to the Tawa Dam area, where they were introduced from outside. Mugger crocodiles are mainly found in the rivers originating from the Vindhyachal ranges Ken, Betwa, Son, and Chambal. These rare interactions remind us of the delicate balance in nature. 🐅🐊 #crocodile #tigerattack #vindhyachalmountain #ranthambhoretigerreserve #wildlifefact #wildlifeofindia

The hyena has never really been a center of attraction for people who explore forests. Today, India has the highest population of hyenas in Rajasthan, followed by Maharashtra in second place. It is quite surprising that this scavenger of the forest does not prefer dense jungles; it likes open forests like those in Rajasthan. One surprising fact I want to share is that sightings of hyenas in many major and medium-sized cities of Rajasthan have become quite common. The same situation exists in several urban areas of Maharashtra. This is the only wild animal that is the true scavenger of the forest, yet even today it does not receive the respect that other animals get. I see these animals in my city at least 2-3 times a week. This video is of a female hyena and her two subadult cubs. #stripedhyena #scavengerwildanimal #Rajasthanpride #wildlifeofindia #urbanwildlife
