When will meaningful action be taken to address the racism our own people face within our country? If we truly want to build a united, multi-ethnic and multi-religious nation, we cannot allow institutions/businesses to operate with impunity when their policies or practices are discriminatory. We must stop discriminating against our own citizens. Sri Lanka is known as one of the most hospitable nations - but apparently not to our own? NO to gas cyclinder. Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga said it best. “You (RW) weren’t corrupt, but people around you were. Corruption was rampant. If that continued, achievements/victories would have become failures. Because you lose what you gain. You stabilized but you can’t develop the country”
