Arthur Fiedler, the legendary Boston Pops conductor, makes his way through an adoring crowd on his way to the Hatch Shell for the Fourth of July concert in the late 1970s. Arthur was the founder of the outdoor concerts on the Esplanade with the first one on July 4, 1929.
