🚧 [WATCH] | N2 CORRIDOR CONSTRUCTION The machinery being used to construct the N2 from Ermelo towards the KwaZulu-Natal border represents a new level of road construction technology. Imported from Germany, the specialised machinery has the capacity to lay approximately 350 metres of concrete road per day. The project uses a different approach to road construction, incorporating reinforcement bars and concrete to create a stronger and more durable pavement. The concrete road is designed to provide long-term durability, with an expected lifespan of up to 30 years with minimal maintenance, while being strong enough to withstand the heavy loads carried by freight vehicles along this important corridor.
