This was Zohran Mamdani only 13 days after October 7. No one could have predicted that this unhinged radical would become New York's next mayor. Israel had not yet launched its ground invasion into Gaza and he was already screaming genocide tnx MAZE for that video

In 24 years of watching 9/11 memorials and the reading of the names of the dead, I have never heard applause. This morning the crowd did — because one brave widow, justterry, looked at the leaders in front of her and refused to let the day pass in silence. She called out Saudi Arabia’s role, the broken promises, and a string of administrations that protected the Kingdom instead of helping to deliver justice for the families. A stunning, must-watch minute. Stand with the families.

Must-watch 3:30 exchange between Brian Kilmeade and Rachel Campos-Duffy on FOX this Sunday is the clearest picture of the Republican split over Ukraine. Campos-Duffy: “We’re probably going to get peace there because President Trump is now working with Russia because Zelensky is so arrogant.” Kilmeade: “It would be the biggest mistake of his administration to work with Russia. That is the modern Hitler of our generation.” Two completely opposed worldviews on the same network. One says Zelensky should face an election for blowing up refineries and not helping Trump before the midterms. The other says those refineries are the war machine bombing apartment buildings, and that “There’s one person who was responsible, Vladimir Putin.” This is the GOP’s Ukraine fight—America First vs. the case for engagement—unfiltered. My take? Thank goodness for Kilmeade’s clarity. Watch the whole thing.

Gen. Jack Keane with some blunt advice for the president on Putin, “the massive pathological liar that he is.” Keane says that Putin "has convinced our president that he's genuine and sincere about wanting to make the deal...But what’s the evidence of that?” Zelensky said yes to an unconditional ceasefire from the start. Putin has never agreed to one, and Keane notes that Russia has “violated every ceasefire that they’ve had” since 2014. Putin can’t beat Ukraine’s army, so he’s waging war on its people. Keane points out that 15,000 civilians have been killed in 2026, up 55% from 2025. Last week alone: 100 killed, 20 of them children. The bottom line: “It starts with Putin, because he has been the one who said no every single time.”

A heated exchange about the U.S.-Iran conflict this morning between CNBC hosts Joe Kernen Andrew Ross Sorkin. When Sorkin seemed initially to put the U.S. and Iran in the same financial “dire straits,” Kernen put a fast stop to that. $97 oil is a problem, but Iran’s currency is collapsing and 1,000% inflation is catastrophic. Comparing financial headwinds for the U.S. and Iran is “ridiculous.” Sorkin also contended the Trump administration had “lied repeatedly” and accused Kernan of accepting it all. Kernen would have none of it: “I have hoped that it ends, and I have hope for a favorable outcome. I haven't, and I'm pointing at you taking glee in every setback for the Trump administration in prosecuting war.” Worth the 2 minute watch.

Gen. Jack Keane just dropped a truth bomb this morning on FOX: Our intelligence services know the Pakistani and Qatari mediators “are compromised because they favor Iran at the expense of the United States.” They have misled the Trump administration about Tehran’s real intentions. Then Keane went after Saudi Arabia. He cited four instances of Saudi influence pulling the president back from wider military action. When the U.S. was ready to open the Strait forcibly, the Saudis denied us their airbase and airspace and actively discouraged the operation — even though they "knew nothing about the details of that operation, nor are they qualified to make that kind of an assumption." Keane's blunt assessment? They "are not willing to sacrifice" (causalities and damage to their oil reserves) "to rid the Middle East region of Iran's aggression. . . . They're willing for us to make that sacrifice for sure. They're willing for Israel to make that sacrifice for sure." This is the thanks America gets for putting the Kingdom under a nuclear and security umbrella since World War II. Keane’s bottom line: “I think it is shameful that they lack the spine to stand up for their people and the region.” Full 3+ minute clip. Must watch.👇

Luigi Mangione fans might want to watch the just-released arrest bodycam footage. What is in the backpack is no surprise, we’ve known that for a long time. Watching Altoona police find them, though, is something else. At the McDonald’s, a gun magazine wrapped in underwear. At the station, the firearm — now known to be the weapon that killed Brian Thompson — and the notebook prosecutors called his manifesto. You can see the moment the police realize they have the man wanted for shooting Thompson in the back on a Manhattan sidewalk. Little wonder Mangione’s defense team worked so frenetically to get all of this thrown out. Credit CNN for fighting to unseal it and to make it public.

A one-minute truth bomb this morning from Gen. Jack Keane, just back from Israel: the 20-point Gaza plan has no chance of working. Hamas is regenerating. Five to seven thousand new recruits, already through training. Still fighting from a tunnel network Keane walked himself — cement floors, walls, plumbing, electricity, about 400 miles of it. Israel has killed a lot of commanders and is systematically blowing those tunnels. It has not eliminated the terror organization. An Israeli brigade commander who has been in Gaza since October 7, and who has lost three company commanders in the fight, told Keane that Hamas "has not changed one bit. Their identity is destruction of the state of Israel. That is what they're about. They are not going to disarm, despite all the initiatives to help them do that. They're going to stay in the fight." This may not be the news most people were hoping to hear the day after the 3rd anniversary of the October 7 attack. But if we are not clear-eyed about Hamas and what they still want — the eradication of Jews and Israel — we are locking in a false pause before the next inevitable round of fighting.

It's never a good sign in a discussion when Tucker Carlson has to say, "I'm not here defending Hitler." What struck me listening to his conversation with Jacob Rees-Mogg is how much Tucker sounds like the mirror image of far-right voices I've interviewed over the years, including the British revisionist historian David Irving and Wolf Hess, the only son of Hitler's deputy, Rudolf Hess. Both also argued that Germany had legitimate reasons to invade Poland, the act that began World War II. Both believed Britain should have stayed out, and that it was worse off for having fought the Nazis. I'm not saying Tucker believes everything Irving or Hess did. He's a disruptor who likes to prod, debate, and play the contrarian. But I recognize the isolationist instinct in him, the one that would never have gone to war to stop the Nazis. Imagine if America and Britain had been led through World War II by men who thought like that.

Since I try to call balls and strikes instead of echoing only one side, I notice when a cable host breaks the party line. Hard to find a CNN anchor who gives Trump credit for anything. Just as hard to find a Fox host who criticizes him. That’s why Rachel Campos-Duffy’s comments this morning stood out. Married to Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, she said she might have been “a little too naive,” having assumed the point of removing Maduro was ending “a communist dictator” and liberating Venezuelans. Instead the U.S. cut an oil deal with Delcy Rodríguez — “part of the old regime” — with no talk of elections. “In Venezuela the reviews on this are very mixed, mostly negative,” she admitted. “The will of the people is still not in place… the Venezuelan people very much want an election.” Until that happens, Campos-Duffy said, there will be "a lot of questions about motivations here and whether the interests of the Venezuelan people are actually at hand." As for what would happen if elections were held today? “María Corina Machado would be in charge.” Viewers are better off when they hear more than one note from the same network. Both CNN and Fox do too little of that.

Gen. Jack Keane with a blunt wake-up call this morning: we keep judging the pain threshold on Iran through our Western lens — the blockade’s daily economic damage, the collapsing currency and runaway inflation. We assume at some point they will fold their hand. Wrong. This is an Islamic regime that doesn't care what its people suffer. "They have an ideology that they're holding to. They absolutely believe right now that they have the upper hand." Even if they signed concessions, "we already have evidence that they won't comply with it." And the part that should concentrate every mind: "They're going to get more violent because as we get closer to the midterms, they want to create a volatile situation that demonstrates that the administration is not managing the war properly." A win for Iran is damaging the White House at the ballot box. They have always been finely tuned to American political resolve. Keane is clear-eyed about the reality we face. Wish he had an inside seat in this administration to focus the response instead of watching us get played by the Iranians. This 2:30 clip is a must-watch. 👇

Want to know how upside down the world of women’s sports is in Washington state? A 15-year-old girl refused to play against an 18-year-old male in a JV basketball game. The result? She’s charged w/ bullying, harassment, and intimidation for MISGENDERING. Crazy. #savewomenssports

To every Democratic politician touting DSA primary wins as proof the party is a 'big tent': listen closely to antisemitic Twitch influencer Hasan Piker at this weekend's College Democrats of America convention. He is not 'energizing the base' —he's declaring war on any Democrats who "compromise, who conciliate, and who betray" the revolution by funding ICE, supporting Israel, or working with "fascists." "We don't need those Democrats anymore." The new left doesn't want accommodation or coalition. They want to purge you, take over, and run it themselves. Piker is telling you exactly what comes next. "We are coming. We are unbossed. We're unbought. We're unbound. And we will become undeniable." Believe him. (And yes — that does appear to be a Mao Zedong-inspired jacket. History rhymes.)

Look closely at this clip. The DSA’s purple-state test just got real. Rep. Francesca Hong — DSA member, currently leading the Democratic primary for governor in Wisconsin — just reaffirmed on Fox the remarkable string of “yes” answers she gave Hasan Piker in early July on every one of the DSA’s planks. Then came the carefully scripted pivot engineered to sound more moderate than radical. Her delivery: flat, practiced, almost AI robotic. What makes this a remarkable moment is that Hong is ahead in a presidential battleground with a Republican legislature. Trump won this state. The August 11 primary, as I wrote earlier this month in my Just the Facts “The Democrats’ Tea Party Moment,” is the clearest test yet of whether the DSA can rebrand itself enough to win more than just deep blue districts. If Hong wins, “DSA can’t win outside Brooklyn” dies as a theory. Judge for yourself.

Former Secretaries of State are usually diplomatic. Not Mike Pompeo this morning regarding NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s boast about arresting Israel’s Prime Minister: “This is a communist, antisemitic mayor, trying to make news for his own audience… There’s no chance he’s going to arrest Prime Minister Netanyahu.” His follow-up landed even harder: Mamdani never named Putin, who’s abducted tens of thousands of Ukrainian children — or Iran’s leaders, accused of mass war crimes. Just the one Jewish state’s leader.

Gen. Jack Keane with a blunt analysis this morning: Tehran believes the Strait of Hormuz gives Iran "more leverage than development and growth of a nuclear weapon." Iran has concluded "this is their prize they've got as a result of the war. . .They're not easily going to give it up, even through negotiations." Keane’s key point: Tehran is dialed into American politics. They believe the U.S. priority is keeping oil and gas prices down ahead of the midterms, and that the closer we get to November the less likely this administration is to use major military force. That calculation, in their minds, increases their leverage and "as we get closer to the elections, they will get more aggressive." He also notes they already blew up the previous MOU on the Straits in a matter of days. So even if a new deal is signed, "we know they won't comply with the deal." Bottom line from Keane: go into any talks clear-eyed — try diplomacy, "but if the Iranians don't cooperate here, then we have to go back to major combat operations." This 2 min clip is a must watch👇

I hope Vance, Witkoff and Kushner were watching Secretary Rubio in Bahrain this morning. He just told reporters that confronting Iranian proxies Hezbollah, Hamas and the Houthis is "critical and important" and says "ultimately you're not going to have peace and stability in this region as long as there are non-state actors operating within the boundaries and borders of sovereign countries and being funded by Iran" Funny, the MOU the three of you negotiated doesn't say that.

Yesterday some of you defended the early media coverage, saying that's how many outlets first reported the flydubai attack. Listen to someone who was on the plane. He told Fox this morning that he was messaging out from the aircraft that it was a terror attack, while he says global media was reporting a fight between two pilots. No outlet could have run a passenger's text as fact. But his complaint is about the default assumption, not the sourcing. "It feels like there is a sentiment that the media out there globally allows it to happen . . . if it's something that is related to Israelis or Jews, you treat it different than any other country, and that's for me how it felt." That's a passenger's experience, not a study. But it's worth hearing before you try to tell him his account is wrong. The question isn't whether outlets should have printed his messages. It's why a pilot fight was the framing so many outlets reached for.

30 second truth bomb from veteran FOX News host Brian Kilmeade: “I wish [JD Vance] would be as tough on Iran” as he was on Israel yesterday. “If you want [Israel] to go along with the plan, you should tell them what’s in the plan. They were not even in the talks. All of a sudden they are roped into it.” “It’s up to Iran to tell Hezbollah, who does whatever you tell them, to knock it off, and then Israel will knock it off.” Listen:

Remember when it was unmistakable who was responsible for the horrors of October 7? Five days after the Hamas terror attack, Secretary of State Antony Blinken stood with Prime Minister Netanyahu and set aside the briefing book for a rare “personal aside.” He spoke not only as America’s top diplomat but “also as a Jew,” noting that his grandfather had fled Russian pogroms and that his stepfather had survived Auschwitz, Dachau, and Majdanek. He said he understood, “on a personal level, the harrowing echoes that Hamas’s massacres carry for Israeli Jews, indeed for Jews everywhere.” As a husband and father of young children, he added that it “was impossible for me to look at the photos of the families killed”—such as the mother, father, and three small children murdered as they sheltered in their home—and not think of his own. He then described the attack as a “litany of brutality and inhumanity that brings to mind the worst of ISIS: babies slaughtered, bodies desecrated, young people burned alive, women raped, parents executed in front of their children, children in front of their parents.” It was a clear, unadorned statement of who had done what. I remember vividly those early days after October 7, when the lines between good and evil were clearly drawn. I could not imagine then how quickly many people would forget who was responsible and turn Israel into the culprit with a fake genocide disinformation campaign.
