it's literally this in a nutshell

I'll never understand where the idea that "Chuck Jones is overrated" came from. Like, if you actually watch his stuff, you'll find that most of his cartoons are some of the funniest films ever produced.

"Grabbed By the Ghoulies is a good game"

One of the funniest scenes in animation history. Friz Freleng's timing is simply unmatched, I'd go as far as to say he would sometimes give Tex Avery a run for his money.

Harvey Birdman outtake where Maurice Lamarche cracks up Gary Cole with his impression of Orson Wells.

Very saddened to hear about James Earl Jones' passing. Aside from Darth Vader and Mufasa, my personal favorite clip of his was his voice over from the first Treehouse of Horror, "The Raven" (1/3)

As much as I love the restorations for Looney Tunes, I really wish the audio was better. Many times a cartoon will sound better from a release now over 30 years ago. The visuals are stunning but the audio is pitiful.

A big issue is that a lot of the restorations (including the ones done for HBO Max and have been released on the Warner Archive sets) simply reuse the audio from the 1990s Turner copies which sound heavily noise reduced.

Cartoonists have been making fun of other forms of animation since the beginning. It's literally just a stable of cartoons.

Probably gonna make this a thread

Completely disagree. Most of his cartoons from the 50's are genuine masterpieces.

Anyway, here's the scene they ripped off in this trailer. Except this time it's actually funny!

Clip from "Chuck Amuck" where Chuck Jones shows people how to draw Bugs Bunny. While I personally am not a fan of his latter style, I can't deny that this is a great way to learn how to draw Bugs Bunny for beginners. It's certainly how I learned to draw him

The 2004 DVD version of Sven Hoek still uses the bloated version for the deleted scene of Ren threatening to gouge Stimpy and Sven's eyes out, so here's my attempt to re-cut it to what it was originally.
