I'll never understand where the idea that "Chuck Jones is overrated" came from. Like, if you actually watch his stuff, you'll find that most of his cartoons are some of the funniest films ever produced.

Very saddened to hear about James Earl Jones' passing. Aside from Darth Vader and Mufasa, my personal favorite clip of his was his voice over from the first Treehouse of Horror, "The Raven" (1/3)

Cartoonists have been making fun of other forms of animation since the beginning. It's literally just a stable of cartoons.

Based on my last tweet, I think I will do a thread of Tex Avery's many fourth wall breaks starting with his most well know cartoon, "Red Hot Riding Hood" in which the cartoon only happens because the cast is tired of the Little Red Riding Hood story over and over.

I've posted this scene before but it's worth brining again. The hair string gag in "Magical Maestro" immediately comes to mind. It was so believable that MGM had to put a note on film prints telling exhibitor's that the hair was a gag in the film.

Tex Avery was trending on twitter earlier. While it was mostly people talking about that god awful DIC show, I want to take advantage of it and say how great his actual cartoons are and how much he really impact animation history. Northwest Hounded Police is a particular favorite

Clip from "Chuck Amuck" where Chuck Jones shows people how to draw Bugs Bunny. While I personally am not a fan of his latter style, I can't deny that this is a great way to learn how to draw Bugs Bunny for beginners. It's certainly how I learned to draw him

The 2004 DVD version of Sven Hoek still uses the bloated version for the deleted scene of Ren threatening to gouge Stimpy and Sven's eyes out, so here's my attempt to re-cut it to what it was originally.
