For 3 years, our little family owned company has been sitting on Target shelves right next to Ocean Spray. Their cranberry sauce was $2.19. Ours was $1.99. Then something interesting happened. Last Thanksgiving, Goode Foods matched or OUTSOLD Ocean Spray in certain Target stores. A company with thousands of employees, enormous resources and generations of brand recognition was getting outsold in some stores by a family business operating out of ONE BLOODLINE. No investors. No corporate backing. No wealthy partners. Just our family. And now look at these pictures. Ocean Spray suddenly dropped its price by 50 CENTS to $1.69. Not a little holiday coupon. The shelf literally says NEW LOWER PRICE. Coincidence? Maybe. But after years of competing against a smaller brand that refuses to disappear, you have to wonder who’s getting nervous. Here’s what people don’t understand about the grocery business. Big companies have the purchasing power and volume to sell products at prices smaller businesses simply cannot match. We can’t sell our cranberry sauce for $1.69 right now without putting tremendous pressure on our business. They can afford to fight on price. We have to fight for every single customer. And that’s what makes this so interesting. For decades, Ocean Spray has been the name Americans associate with cranberry sauce. Now a small family owned company founded in 2003 is standing right beside them on Target shelves and proving shoppers are willing to choose someone else. Are they trying to price us right off those shelves? I can’t tell you what’s being discussed behind closed doors. But I can tell you this. WE ARE NOT LOWERING OUR HEADS. AND WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE. We’re keeping our cranberry sauce at $1.99. Because we didn’t build this company to be the cheapest brand in America. We built it to give American families another choice. So here’s my challenge. If you’ve ever complained that giant corporations have too much control over our grocery shelves, here’s your chance to do something about it. This Thanksgiving, spend $1.99 with a family business that’s been fighting for its place for 23 years. Buy a can. Buy a few for your family. Tell somebody about us. Every purchase tells Target that shoppers want Goode Foods on those shelves. DAVID DOESN’T HAVE TO BE BIGGER THAN GOLIATH. HE JUST NEEDS PEOPLE WILLING TO STAND WITH HIM. Find Goode Foods Cranberry Jellied Sauce at Target. Order online or check your local store for pickup: And I genuinely want to know something. When a giant brand drops its price below a small family owned competitor, is that healthy competition or an attempt to squeeze the little guy out? ⬇️

The food industry is embarrassing itself right now. Campbell’s insiders openly admitting their own products aren’t good enough for their kids… Del Monte mixing up cans like they’re spinning a roulette wheel… Ocean Spray selling cranberry “mystery water.” And somehow we’re all just supposed to shrug? This is exactly why small family brands matter. No investors. No boardroom. Just real food made the right way, even when the industry doesn’t. #delmonte #oceanspray #campbells

Christmas is here. Big brands already won their shelf space. Family businesses still have to earn it. If you’ve ever rooted for the underdog, this is that moment. Same aisle. Same holiday table. Let’s see what people actually choose. 🎄🛒 #groceryshopping #christmas #food

Most people don’t realize how rare this is. Over 70% of family businesses don’t survive the second generation. Tariffs hit. Costs rose. We held the line anyway. That’s why we’re still about $0.24 less than Del Monte at Walmart and $0.10 less at Target—without cutting quality. No glyphosate. No GMOs. U.S.-grown crops. BPA-free cans. No investors. No press team. Just accountability. This isn’t a trend. It’s survival math.

The Campbells Soup VP got caught mocking the same people who keep their lights on… and admitting their products aren’t even real food. This is exactly why family-owned brands matter. We don’t hide. We show up. We answer. We care. Corporate America treats food like a science experiment—families treat it like nourishment. Choose brands that actually respect you.

It’s crazy to see how many people don’t want this story to be true ✔️

Most people walk past this shelf and don’t think twice about who’s behind it. Some brands have boardrooms. Some don’t — but they still have partners, investors, outside friends involved somewhere along the way. This one doesn’t. Goode Foods is owned and run by one bloodline. No investors. No outside partners. No silent hands in the background. And it’s not just on paper. Around 90% of the people working in this company are family. Same last name. Same table. Same pressure to get it right. This wasn’t built through deals or handoffs. It’s a real version of the American Dream people talk about all the time but rarely see play out like this: Working side by side with your family. Keeping it in the family. And making sure it’s good enough to feed other families too. 22+ years in and it’s still the same setup. No shortcuts. No passing it off. Just us.
