Happy 100th birthday to Kentucky's favorite soft drink, Ale-8-One.

Kentucky's constitution says no public dollars to nonpublic schools unless there's a vote from the people. I put my hand on the Bible when I swore to uphold our constitution and listen to our people – and that's an oath I've kept.

Walking into this office every day is the honor of a lifetime. We love you, Kentucky.

Day one of a big week meeting with 16 companies and 260 business leaders across Finland, Sweden and then Switzerland, at the World Economic Forum – showing the world our New Kentucky Home is the best place to do business as we work to create more opportunities for our people.

Kentucky is losing quality teachers. We can't remain competitive because we rank 44th nationwide for starting teacher pay. And without teachers to lead our classrooms, our children are falling behind. Our teachers, school staff and children deserve better.

Good news, Kentucky - our property tax rate has dropped for the sixth straight year. This will help our families save and builds on the steps we're taking to help everyone with the rising prices our nation faces.

Three Kentucky counties were recognized as "America's Best" in a national economic development ranking. Congratulations to Simpson, Mercer and Jefferson counties on some major wins that are creating good-paying jobs and opportunities for our people.

When we have a chance to correct a historical wrong, we should do it. That's why ahead of Juneteenth, I took executive action to posthumously pardon 43 brave Kentuckians who were wrongfully imprisoned for helping enslaved people escape to freedom.

At a time when a lot of people are stressed or worried about the future, we're feeling hopeful here in Kentucky.
