Thanks to the Legislature’s passage of the Oklahoma Taxpayer Endowment Trust Fund, we’re building a long-term plan to fund schools, hospitals, and public safety without relying on income tax. Proud to see Oklahoma recognized for leading the way on common-sense education policy! Kids need time to be kids. That’s why I signed a law doubling daily recess for Oklahoma elementary students from 20 minutes to 40 minutes. It’s a simple change that will help students thrive in the classroom.

Honored to be the second Governor to sign Rodney Smith Jr’s American flag lawn mower! Rodney’s mission is bringing communities together by empowering young people to serve through volunteering to mow the lawns of the elderly, veterans, and those in need. As a dad, I appreciate the example he’s setting for the next generation. We need more young men (and young women) who understand that character is built through serving others with generosity and selflessness. So glad to welcome you to our great state, Rodney. Thank you for investing in the next generation and reminding us that leadership starts with serving others!

.President Donald J. Trump knew Oklahoma had what our country needed to secure our supply chain when he championed this project. It’s one of his top priorities. This is about more than an aluminum processing plant. This is about America's future and our national security. Oklahoma has what it takes.

This week, I signed a proclamation declaring November as Family Month— and the celebration is in full swing. This month, I challenge you to carve out a little extra time with your family. Throw a dinner party, walk the dog together, go to a movie. Whatever it is, let’s be intentional with our family time.

What happened to this family is heartbreaking. Their lives are forever altered, and the courts have clearly ruled in favor of justice. The Department of Corrections upheld the law in how they handled this inmate, which is why the grand jury report said clearly there was no finding of wrongdoing. The Legislature and I supported this session to make the law stricter moving forward for all DUI cases. It is disappointing that the Attorney General is once again promoting baseless gossip to advance his political career.

I’ve been very clear. Oklahomans want two things— tax cuts and parent choice.

I started the conversation with Operation Safe. I made it clear that it wasn't compassionate to let people sleep under a bridge. The Legislature took that seriously and gave this teeth. Now, if cities and counties are going to ignore rampant homelessness, residents have recourse. Thank you Representative Caldwell and Senator Daniels for getting HB 3985 to my desk.

On June 14, 1777, the Second Continental Congress passed the Flag Resolution, officially adopting the Stars and Stripes as the flag of our nation. The American flag is recognized across the world as a symbol of freedom. And we never forget the cost- that flag was built by the blood of those who sacrificed their lives for our liberty. I am proud to be an American. Happy Flag Day! 🇺🇸
