Yet another predictable casualty, serving as a stark reminder that Wall Street humbles anyone who underestimates it. There are no shortcuts. Long-term survival demands deep passion, unwavering discipline, and an absolute obsession with risk management. Managing risk is 90% of the game. If you do not intimately understand market mechanics... the market will eliminate you. A final word from the GREAT ONE before heading out to dinner.

Total confusion is gripping the markets. Let’s clear the fog on the Yen, the Carry Trade.💹 The Yen collapse is actually providing a massive buffer for a multi trillion dollar carry trade. An abrupt unwind here would be cataclysmic, threatening to derail the global financial system and that’s before factoring in hyper-inflated valuations abroad. This global situation will not end quietly. For now, the declining Yen isn't an immediate threat to the carry trade. But Japan is staring down a massive sovereign bond market crisis. A weak Yen acts as an inflation accelerator. Because Japan imports almost all of its oil, skyrocketing energy costs are becoming an extreme economic burden. As inflation continues to heat up, the cornered BOJ will be forced to lift rates higher. This policy shift will inevitably strengthen the Yen, sparking a brutal, chaotic unwind of the global carry trade. The Godzilla trade remains dormant for now. God help us if it awakens. 📉🇯🇵

BOJ Japan 🇯🇵 Intervention ⚠️⛔️ Strengthening the yen in an oil import dependent economy like Japan’s will have limited effect against stagflation. The persistently weak yen has served as a key buffer against major unwinding of yen carry trades. As Japanese yields rise, BOJ yen intervention to strengthen the yen risks triggering forced liquidations and amplifying volatility across global risk assets. BOJ efforts will prove futile.

In summary: The Pledge is a six-year GPU life. The Turn is a new chip every two years that makes the expense vanish. The Prestige is Nvidia’s residual-value slide bringing it back. You’re watching the wrong hand. A short clip attached explains it all.
