Even in the darkest circumstances, they continue to choose education, faith, and life. As one of the world’s oldest Christian communities slowly disappears, the Middle East loses an irreplaceable part of its history.

On their feast day, listen to the Greek hymn rising from Damascus, chanted in the presence of His Beatitude John X, Patriarch of Antioch, and also in Arabic. This is not only a hymn. It is memory, continuity, and survival.
