During a 2 hour GTA 6 demo MikeShowSha encountered a random event that Rockstar’s team said had never happened during months of testing. 2 masked women had botched a jewelry store robbery and become trapped inside while the alarm blared. Mike and Rob let them out, then robbed the store themselves! That was only one of the details he revealed: - Calling your personal car doesn’t simply spawn it nearby. An NPC physically delivers it, gets out and rides away on an electric scooter. Rob Nelson noticed Jason didn’t thank the driver and immediately told the development team to fix the interaction. - Mike encountered two injured robbers who had crashed into a pole, leaving stolen cash scattered across the road. Jason and Lucia took the money, but the bills were marked and had to be laundered at a shop. - People appearing in the in-game social media feed can sometimes be found performing the same stunts around Leonida. - Police can record your face, clothing, weapon and vehicle description. Changing clothes, hiding your weapon, repainting your car or switching vehicles can help break that description. - Security cameras can identify Jason and Lucia during an unplanned robbery. - Police are no longer constantly marked on the minimap. Focus mode can reveal nearby officers, interactive doors, explosives and enemy weak points. - Rob said escaping a six-star wanted level is extraordinarily difficult because the police continue hunting relentlessly. - Shooting police car tires produces completely dynamic crashes. Mike watched it happen several times and the pursuing vehicles reacted differently each time. - Avoiding unnecessary casualties can improve your Criminal Profile by treating the escape as more professional. - The Criminal Profile does not award special powers for being “good” or “bad.” It reflects what kind of criminal each character is becoming. - Character movement appeared noticeably smoother than RDR2 and sprinting no longer requires repeatedly tapping a face button. - Eating too much can make Jason and Lucia gain weight. Training can increase strength, but maintaining that physique requires returning to the gym. - An out-of-shape police officer chasing Jason became exhausted, stopped and bent over with his hands on his knees. - Jason was hit with a taser and visibly scraped his knees and elbows when he fell. - Older cars can be opened with a slim jim and hotwired through a minigame. Newer vehicles can require a key cloning tool on your phone. - Smashing the window remains the fast way to steal a car, but how the vehicle is stolen can affect your Criminal Profile. - Gas cars need fuel and electric cars need charging. Rob said a full tank lasts a reasonable amount of time, but stolen vehicles may already be running low. - Some stolen electric cars have GPS trackers, forcing players to abandon or modify them before escaping. - A vehicle scanning app can reveal a car’s value, security and registration cost. - Jason and Lucia can end their romantic relationship while remaining partners in crime. - When travelling together, the player can command the AI-controlled partner to drive faster. - Players can switch between Jason and Lucia during a chase, allowing one character to drive while the other shoots at pursuing police. - Personal weapons are stored in the characters’ vehicle. Weapons collected from the world can be confiscated after an arrest, while customized personal weapons remain available from the trunk. - Newspapers can be physically picked up, opened and read, with some functioning as collectibles. - Animals can be studied and dogs can be given food before their breed is identified.
