An Israeli soldier in 1985: ‘I’m not dealing with human beings (Lebanese). They are all terrorists and they don't have any human feelings, so l kill them without remorse.’ Reporter: ‘They live here and they’re trying to defend their villages.’ IDF soldier: ‘They know we’re going back to Israel in two months, why do they have to try and kill people?’ Israeli soldiers commit barbarism and mass slaughter, and then play the victim…since 1948.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich: ‘I say to the people of Israel: come live in the West Bank…I hope this incentive will help us bring 1 million settlers and kill the idea of a Palestinian state.’ Israel works every day to destroy the possibility of a viable Palestinian state, while the international community continues to promote the idea that Israel in its current genocidal fever will accept a Palestinian state. Unless a serious effort is made to punish Israel for its apartheid, ethnic cleansing, occupation, and annexation, Israel will bomb, plunder and ethnically cleansing its way to making any form of Palestinian self-government impossible… And that’s exactly the outcome Western Europe is waiting for, so their leaders can claim they ‘did everything they could’ to build a Palestinian state, while providing Israel with the bombs and bullets to destroy any possibility of a Palestinian state.

Prof. Steve Hanke: Iran landed a KNOCKOUT BLOW to the US with control over the Strait of Hormuz ‘Iran has taken a tremendous pounding by the United States and Israel, but they have basically swung and made a knockout blow with the control of the strait. That’s the key to the whole thing, because the longer this goes on, we’re talking about commodity prices, the damage that these higher prices are inflicting, are increasing with each passing day. And that’s why you talk about the UK having this affordability crisis and price controls coming in. United States, here, the key is, of course, the pain being inflicted on the United States and the political pain being inflicted on Trump and his allies in the Republican Party. And we have an election coming up, a by-election in November that’s right around the corner, and it’s not looking very good for Trump and his allies, precisely because of the price blowback coming out of the Gulf. So he’s got to get out of there as fast as he possibly can to save his political hide. But the problem is you’ve got three players in the game, Iran, the United States and Israel. And Israel doesn’t want to get out. They want to go up the escalation ladder. They don’t want to get out.’ —Steve Hanke, Professor of Applied Economics at Johns Hopkins University, on the season premiere of Going Underground Watch the full interview in the quoted post below👇

🚨Prof. Steve Hanke: ‘The US & Israel MISCALCULATED tremendously, they didn’t realise that Iran could control the Strait of Hormuz. Now it is likely to remain SHUT.’ ‘Where were we before the United States and Israel attacked and waged war against Iran? We had the Strait of Hormuz was open, nothing was bottled up. We didn’t have all these negative price consequences associated with shutting down the strait. Who shut the strait down? The United States and Israel shut it down. They were the ones that engaged in a war of choice against Iran. And it turns out they miscalculated tremendously and didn’t realise that the Iranians could in fact control the strait, which they’re doing. And I think they will continue to do it. And I also think that unfortunately the strait will probably remain closed and functionally inoperative for quite some time. My baseline case is that the strait will continue to be shut for quite some time.’ —Steve Hanke, Professor of Applied Economics at Johns Hopkins University, on the season premiere of Going Underground Watch the full interview in the quoted post below👇

Prof. Steve Hanke: Russia🇷🇺 is a BIG WINNER from Strait of Hormuz Remaining SHUT ‘The commodities that are all plugged up in the Gulf right now are in short supply, and the price is going up. It happens that Russia produces some of those key commodities that are plugged up in the Gulf. One of them happens to be oil, but also fertilisers, helium, aluminium, etc. So as those prices go up, of course that’s beneficial to Russia. It’s exporting and, to some extent, even having some of the sanctions lifted, at least temporarily, on Russian exports, believe it or not. Russia is actually increasing the quantities that they’re exporting, and they’re exporting those at higher prices. So they’re a winner in that sense. You can see this in all kinds of telltale signs, one being the fact that the ruble is pretty strong right now. Of course, there’s a little grumbling about that with the fiscal authorities in Moscow, because that increase in the value of the ruble versus the US dollar means that for every dollar’s worth of oil or commodities that you’re selling, you get fewer rubles per dollar. So the fiscal deficit increases a little bit as a result of that strong ruble. But the strong ruble, by the way, is also an important factor in anchoring inflation and inflation expectations in Russia. The central bank has been doing a pretty good job. They’ve slowed down the money supply growth, and as a result, inflation has come down. I think the money supply growth rate consistent with Russia’s 4% inflation target is a little over 8%. They’ve now got their growth rate down to a little over 11%, but they’ve been steadily cranking it down. As a result, the official inflation rate is about 5.6%, which is a little over the target, but it’s coming down, not up. And the strong ruble helps that, of course. —Steve Hanke, Professor of Applied Economics at Johns Hopkins University, on the season premiere of Going Underground Watch the full interview in the quoted post below👇

BREAKING: Vladimir Putin’s🇷🇺 phone call with Donald Trump🇺🇸 lasted almost 2 HOURS In the call, Putin warned Trump of the ‘extremely dire consequences’ for the region and the international community should the US and Israel restart offensive operations against Iran. Prof. Steve Hanke: Europe🇪🇺 MUST REMOVE sanctions on Russia🇷🇺 ASAP to escape economic crisis ‘Europe must remove the sanctions on Russia. sanctions never work, by the way….they usually end up backfiring and creating all kinds of unintended negative consequences. And the sanctions on Russia clearly are in that category. If you look for example at Germany, it’s just been completely hollowed out. And the highest energy prices in Europe now are in Germany. So if the sanctions were removed and they were importing energy oil and gas from Russia, they’d be in a lot better shape than they’re in right now. And that holds true throughout Europe, the whole Eurozone. Why is the growth rate so low in Germany? It’s so low because, of many things, but one big thing, big thing, is the sanctions. So one piece of advice would be to remove the sanctions as fast as possible. The other advice would be to put as much pressure as they possibly can, which they don’t have much leverage, over the United States and Israel to wind things up in the war against Iran and open up the strait.’ —Steve Hanke, Professor of Applied Economics at Johns Hopkins University, on the season premiere of Going Underground Watch the full interview in the quoted post below👇

Prof. Steve Hanke: ‘MILITARISM IS BLATANTLY A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.’ ‘If you produce a drone, what does a drone actually produce? You’re not investing in a person and training a person, a human. You’re not enhancing human capital that’s going to produce something in the future. And you’re not building a factory that’s going to produce something in the future. You’re producing a drone. Now, what does a drone produce? A drone only destroys things. There are two ways to run a country badly. One is with incompetence and two is with the embrace of ill-founded and misguided policies. And I think we have a large dose of incompetence and we have a large dose of the embrace of foolhardy and foolish policies. And militarism is a big one. Name one case where militarism ever did anything positive for an economy.’ —Steve Hanke, Professor of Applied Economics at Johns Hopkins University, on the season premiere of Going Underground Watch the full interview in the quoted post below👇

VLADIMIR PUTIN🇷🇺: ‘They invented that Russia wants to attack NATO. Have you completely lost your minds? Dumb as this table? It’s nonsense. Utter rubbish.’ Ironically, now a US🇺🇸 attack on NATO is now a more likely scenario with a forcible annexation of Greenland. The circus of the European approach to international relations reaches its farcical, embarrassing finale.

PROF. JEFFREY SACHS: To end the Ukraine proxy war, the US🇺🇸 MUST stop its campaign to weaken and divide Russia🇷🇺 ‘Russia has 6,000 nuclear warheads, 1,600 that are deployed. Russia is under attack by the US and UK. I say that because while Ukraine nominally presses the button or makes the attack, it’s US weaponry, US satellites, US Intelligence, US tracking, US logistics. And so we have an active hot war going on right now. It’s insane… So far, no American president has had either the bravery or the decency to tell the truth, which is that from the time of the end of the Soviet Union in December 1991 until now, the US has been on a campaign to weaken Russia, to divide Russia, to surround Russia, to put US military all around Russia, to break apart Russia if possible, to sanction Russia to its knees, whatever it is. That’s been the US campaign. So if this war is going to stop, the US has to stop its campaign against Russia. That’s the story.’ -Prof. Jeffrey Sachs on Going Underground

🚨Prof. Steve Hanke: ‘Oil futures market have got it WRONG, oil prices will SKYROCKET by early August.’ ‘I think basically the markets just got things wrong…the futures market is just not anticipating things correctly because what’s going on with oil is that you have all this oil bottled up and not being delivered. And as a result of that, the demand for oil internationally is greater than the supply that’s coming into the market right now. And that gap between demand and supply is being filled by running inventories down. So inventories of oil are going down, down, and hitting almost rock-bottom levels in some countries. For most countries on average, I think by the end of July or early August we’ll hit very low, critical levels of oil inventories. And when that happens, the price will zoom up again, and you’ll find out that those people who purchased futures contracts for delivery in August, for example, will make out like bandits because they will have purchased the thing for August delivery today at a price that will be lower than I think the price will be in August when they actually have to deliver.’ —Steve Hanke, Professor of Applied Economics at Johns Hopkins University, joins us for the SEASON PREMIERE of Going Underground on Saturday Don’t miss it, follow our Rumble channel, link below in the replies👇

UAE’s🇦🇪 Mishal Kanoo: We DON’T RETALIATE against Iran because we don’t want the Iranian people to remember us as an ATTACKER! Afshin Rattansi: You can see from Iran’s point of view, and I think it’s widely accepted that the UAE hosting United States bases, even though the UAE, like Saudi Arabia, has said on no account can they be used for attacks on Iran… Still creates a situation where hosting those bases makes GCC countries targets when the United States is involved in military operations. Mishal Kanoo مشعل كانو: “If I accept that premise, and I do, then I should also extend the same logic to Azerbaijan, which has Israeli bases, and to Turkey, which has American bases. There was a hit on Azerbaijan, of course, and then they said it was a mistake. The same thing happened with Turkey — “sorry, it’s a mistake” — and that was a NATO country after all. The reason why the IRGC is attacking our part of the world is because they perceive us to be an easy target — someone who is not going to retaliate. And we’re not going to retaliate, not because we can’t, but because there’s a difference between not wanting to retaliate and being unable to. They know that if you attack Turkey, you are dealing with a proper army and a capable military. Turkey has been actively involved in conflicts and skirmishes in Syria, Iraq, and Azerbaijan. It’s a frightening prospect for them because of both capability and proximity — Turkey has the military strength to project force directly into Iran. Azerbaijan is similar. It may not be viewed as a major military superpower, but there are approximately 15 million Azeris living in Iran. If Azerbaijan were to respond to an attack by moving in, Iran would face a significant internal and external challenge. This is why, in the eyes of the IRGC, we are seen as the easier target — and why they keep hitting us. The argument that this is simply because of American bases doesn’t fully hold. Yes, the bases are there — but what about American ships, frigates, and other assets? Why aren’t they being targeted in the same way? Why is it primarily our region, where there is little to no retaliatory trajectory from our side? It’s because we know that, ultimately, they will remain our neighbours. We do not have an issue with the Iranian population, and we don’t want to create one for the future. When the current rulers eventually move on and new leadership emerges, we don’t want to have a history where we were the aggressors.” -One of the UAE’s🇦🇪 most prominent businessmen Mishal Kanoo مشعل كانو, Chairman of the The Kanoo Group, and one of Gulf Business’s Top 100 Powerful Arabs 2025. Russia’s🇷🇺 Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to RT: 'I have no doubt one of objectives of US-Israeli aggression to disrupt rapprochement and normalisation between Arab states and Iran.’ China brought peaceful diplomatic relations between the GCC and Iran, leading to unprecedented cooperation and finally, stability in the region. The US and Israel brought nothing but genocide and destruction across the region, and launched the war on Iran after peace ‘broke out.’ The US and Israel want the Middle East either in a constant state of war and instability, prepared to accept only a ‘peaceful’ Middle East if it’s a peace where Israel is the unchallenged hegemon.
