Doug Bandow, Ex-Special Assistant to President Reagan: ‘There’s a lot of talk in the Washington policy community that the US🇺🇸 MUST defend Taiwan… I doubt Americans want a NUCLEAR WAR with China🇨🇳 over Taiwan. They don’t even know where Taiwan is. They don’t want to fight a war 6,000 miles from home. That does make me very nervous in the future. I think American policymakers underestimate that risk. I think the Chinese are very serious. And no one on Earth, I mean, especially China and America, but no one on Earth wants a war between these two countries.’ Watch the full interview in the quoted post below 👇 Doug Bandow

Col. Lawrence Wilkerson: 'Iran's ULTIMATE LEVERAGE is its nuclear programme, any ground campaign by Trump to destroy it would be DISASTROUS.' 'The reason Iran has strategic headway over anything Donald Trump does is twofold. Ultimately, it’s the nuclear programme and the Strait of Hormuz. The Omani foreign minister categorically stated that the real problem in the region is Israel, not Iran. I think he’s right. Oman holds a key to the continued control of the Strait of Hormuz, such as it is. And that is their channel, and we are trying to strong-arm Oman into letting us use exclusively that channel, the one Oman has closest to its territory, and thereby negating a lot of Iran’s leeway with regard to the Strait of Hormuz. But the ultimate leeway, the ultimate instrument here is what you just suggested, their nuclear programme. And what’s laughable about that, and sad about it, is that that’s what Donald Trump started out on, and that’s what Donald Trump said was his principal focus. Well, he’s lost complete focus on that now, unless he’s planning on putting land forces on the ground and scouring up their nuclear programme as best he can, and that would be disastrous. I don’t see any way he’s going to affect that. So Iran remains in the catbird seat, and they have Russia and China on their side too, and I think China is ultimately on their side, which means they have the number one economy in the world on their side.' —Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, former Chief of Staff at the US State Department Watch the full interview in the quoted post below👇

“Donald Trump has demonstrated pretty conclusively that without NUCLEAR WEAPONS, it’s hard for Iran to defend themselves.” —Doug Bandow, Former Special Assistant to President Ronald Reagan ‘The danger, of course, is we’ve got a new leadership that’s more angry, more antagonistic, probably more nationalistic, and they have a much better reason to want a nuclear weapon…. They don’t have to do that right now. The point is the Strait of Hormuz has turned out to be their nuclear weapon and given them extraordinary leverage that they may have thought they might have had in the past, but they never used it. And this is the extraordinary thing: Donald Trump has created the entire problem. They wouldn’t have the enriched uranium if he hadn’t gotten rid of the JCPOA, the nuclear accord that Obama negotiated. And then last year he attacked them in the middle of negotiations, this year he attacked them in the middle of negotiations and they struck back at the strait. So he’s the one who’s created the problem of both the nuclear issue as well as the Strait of Hormuz.’ Watch the full interview in the quoted post below👇

Former CIA Agent John Stockwell on the CIA’s propaganda war on Cuba: "We pumped dozens of stories about Cuban atrocities...we didn't know of a single atrocity committed by the Cubans. It was pure false propaganda to create an illusion of communists eating babies for breakfast."

‘Iran has done ENORMOUS DAMAGE to the US military with strikes on American bases in the Middle East.’ —Doug Bandow, Former Special Assistant to President Reagan ‘It’s terrible that they're striking the Gulf States, of course, because the Gulf states have not initiated combat. I don't think I was surprised simply because Iran views them as being vulnerable and frankly, Iran views them probably as being the only target that's likely to make a real difference on the United States. Hitting the bases has done enormous harm to the US military. That can be viewed as direct retaliation in terms of the US government and then hitting the Gulf states there, trying to get the Gulf states to tell the US to end this. So it's a tactic that I'm not surprised about. I think that it's wrong. You're hitting people who did not hit you. But look, the way this war has gone, the US went after them twice in the middle of negotiations, launched an aggressive war. I'm not surprised that Iran has basically said all of the rules are out the window. And tragically, the Gulf states are targets in this.’ Watch the full interview in the quoted post below 👇 Doug Bandow

Col. Lawrence Wilkerson: 'The world is SLEEPWALKING into the potential use of NUCLEAR WEAPONS in the war on Iran.' 'I think the diplomatic instrument for the war on Iran is moribund because we have no diplomatic instrument. We have Witkoff and Kushner, who are making money. That's about the size of it. I don't know what we're trying to do other than affect by bombing and missiles what we couldn't affect any other way, and it's not going to work. It's simply not going to work... Particularly when you have the depth of China🇨🇳, the world's largest economy, on the other side, and I would say also the depth of the world's most accomplished military right now, to include its defence-industrial base, Russia🇷🇺, on your side. This is unparalleled, in terms of its potential for going much wider, much deeper, much more profoundly, maybe even to nuclear weapons use. And everyone seems to be sleepwalking into it.' —Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, former Chief of Staff at the US State Department Watch the full interview in the quoted post below👇

Dennis Kucinich on the US’🇺🇸 250th Independence Day Anniversary: ‘We haven’t travelled 250 years in this long journey to end up in this thrall of another country, in this case Israel. Col. Lawrence Wilkerson: 'China🇨🇳 doesn't want a DIRECT WAR with the US🇺🇸, which would derail their victories in the overall competition.' 'I think the Chinese in particular are very, very concerned about where the empire is right now because they know, as Ricardo Alarcón told me one time about Cuba, a dying elephant can thrash a lot of grass. And the Chinese don't want their grass thrashed. They're doing well, they're winning the overall competition in the world—economic, cultural, military, you name it, they're winning. They don't want that to be derailed, and a war with the United States, an in-your-face war with the United States, would do that. They'd win. They would ultimately win. But it would be a Pyrrhic victory in many respects, given their progress right now. So it's a difficult thing for other people in the world to deal with. 60% of the world, 60% of the GDP hates our guts. And they would have an audience, if you will, immediately if they took us on. But they don't want to because they're winning. And if they're winning, why should they want to derail that to a certain extent by taking us on directly? They're going to have to if we persist in this kind of strategy. But I think they're crafty enough to figure out a way to deal with this otherwise, and they will do that.' —Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, former Chief of Staff at the US State Department Watch the full interview in the quoted post below👇

Col. Lawrence Wilkerson: ‘The world has FORGOTTEN about the Palestinians. That’s fundamentally EVIL. Israel is leading the way in bringing back 20th Century horrors.’ ‘Everyone has forgotten about the Palestinians, and that's what the Israelis want and that's what Donald Trump wants. That's what we want, apparently, as an administration. We do not want anybody to remember the Palestinians as they disappear into that dark night underground under rubble, to be soon turned into whatever it is Jared Kushner and his boys have planned for them. But we've all forgotten about that. And that is fundamentally evil that we have done that. This is not the equivalent of Hitler's Holocaust, but it's very close. And if it keeps on at the present rate, and it really is 250,000–300,000 Palestinians under that rubble, and I think Ralph Nader's right about that. I think it is. This could match anything that's happened in the last century…the things that have happened that were so heinous that we thought we had left behind and built a body of law and rules to negate its coming back. It’s coming back with a vengeance, and Israel's leading the way.’ —Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, former Chief of Staff at the US State Department Watch the full interview in the quoted post below👇

Former Special Assistant to President Reagan, Doug Bandow: ‘Donald Trump is probably afraid Iran has WON the war, but he CAN’T admit any of that, and he knows he needs to change that. And the only tool he imagines he has is to use the US Military. It didn’t work before, it's not working now. But Donald Trump is not one to check reality when his ego is at stake.’ Watch the full interview in the quoted post below👇 Doug Bandow

Cuba’s🇨🇺 President Miguel Díaz-Canel: ‘We've been under the blockade for 60 years. It is the longest-running blockade in the history of mankind. And it's not just any blockade, it is an economic, financial, commercial blockade, and now an energy blockade. And this blockade is not being imposed by any country. It is being imposed by the mightiest power in the world.’

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Ukraine proxy war: Europe is SUFFERING economically, Trump has LOST INTEREST in the conflict ‘Russia expected that the Europeans, and ultimately the US would pay a price. The Europeans have suffered very badly. Getting rid of cheap energy sources has hurt their industries enormously. It’s hard for them to raise the money to keep funding the war in Ukraine. It’s pretty clear Trump has kind of grown tired of it. He didn’t solve it the way he wanted. Congress still wants to support it, but even there you don’t get the same levels of enthusiasm. And I’m sure that Putin and the Moscow government are all watching this and taking that into account as they plan for the future that they can assume. I think that interest will continue to flag. It’ll be interesting if they decide there’s a point to approach Trump where they think, perhaps especially after the Iran debacle, that they might be able to convince Trump to try to take a more favourable stand and get the war over with with Ukraine.’ —Doug Bandow, former Special Assistant to President Ronald Reagan Watch the full interview in the quoted post below 👇

‘Donald Trump feels BETRAYED & MISLED by Benjamin Netanyahu over Iran war quagmire.’ —Doug Bandow, Former Special Assistant to President Ronald Reagan ‘I don't think that he feels any particular loyalty, for example, to Netanyahu. I suspect he also, in fact, feels betrayed to some degree that Netanyahu promised him an easy win, three or four days, regime change. “You can go home and have your big parade and an arch of triumph and you've won.” And none of that happened. I think he knows that he was misled, that the question of his political future, to have a Congress heavily dominated by Democrats would be very dangerous for him. To have the Republican Party damaged significantly would be bad for him, to have it ruined for the next presidential election. All of these things mattered to him. So I suspect that he really knows he's got to get this over. And my hope is that sense of self-preservation takes over very quickly. Because if it's just his ego, he really could take the world over the edge. But if he worries about his reputation for the future, then there's hope that he might decide he's got to get it done.’ Watch the full interview in the quoted post below👇 Doug Bandow
