Despite political differences with the UAE 🇦🇪, we should remain calm and act early by supporting a peace initiative and strengthening every diplomatic channel for de escalation. If tensions continue to intensify, a UN mandated peace mission should also be considered, ideally with regional participation from Arab and Muslim majority countries to ensure legitimacy, local acceptance, and cultural understanding. The safety and peace of the people must remain the priority. Our brothers and sisters in the United Arab Emirates should not be left alone in a time of crisis, they may need mediation and support. Somalia should contribute within its capacity.
