![Last week (26 March), at 56th 🇧🇩National | Independence Day celebration in Delhi, a milestone was etched quietly. A key part of the ceremony was to play 🇧🇩🇮🇳 National Anthems. Standard protocol has been to play the instrumental versions, of both Anthems. Yet, in an effort to touch #people, Bangladeshi #music ensemble (who travelled from Dhaka for the august occasion), proposed to render both Anthems, live! [Ayesha doesn't spk a bit of #Hindi!]. They neatly made it. Flawless. Much to the surprise of hundreds of guests at our garden, as Ayesha Maushumi & Jahib Nirob sang and Jalal-Pavel-Mithun chipped in with their musical 🎵instruments, those three-minute profoundly underlined a fitting tribute to 🇧🇩🇮🇳 ties that Nobel Laureate #RabindranathTagore envisioned over a century back. 🇧🇩Chief Adviser HE Prof Muhammad Yunus shares #Bangladesh's concerns, complex ground realities of #Rohingya crisis. In view of the deteriorating human security, Prof. Yunus proposed: "A. #UN Secretary General António Guterres may convene an all stakeholders’ Conference on Rohingya crisis soonest possible which should review overall situation of the crisis and suggest innovative and forward looking way outs; B. Joint Response Plan, managed jointly by UN System and Bangladesh, needs to be energised. Resource raising mechanism needs further political push in view of sliding funding situation; C. Int'l community should seriously support #justice and accountability mechanism to address #CrimesAgainstHumanity committed against Rohingya people. Progress on the Case in #ICC is important. Eventually, redressing injustice that had been perpetrated by military junta in Myanmar is the key to long term peace and security."
