…not quite the start to 2026 I had hoped for. Visiting Mum at Royal Derby Hospital after a nasty fall … grateful she’s being well looked after. ❤️ Standing here tonight, beside this wall, brought back memories of a very different moment: auctioning from my shed during the first lockdown in 2020 to help raise funds for PPE for the NHS. A small thing at the time, but one I’ll always be proud of. Moments like this reset the compass. #nhs #royalderby #fundraiser

Lost in London… and now home where it belongs…. …on Shrove Tuesday 2026, the 1973 Ashbourne Royal Shrovetide ball went under my hammer… and I’m delighted to say it made £6,000, secured by a local Down’ard in the room. …from being kicked around in a north London garden to returning to Derbyshire on the very day the game is played… you honestly couldn’t script it better. quite a moment today 🎩 Lot 1 today was an original Harry Corbett Sooty hand puppet … went straight to the top estimate, hammering down at £3,000. .. naturally i couldn’t resist giving Sooty a quick outing on the rostrum… and it’s safe to say he’s lost none of that cheeky charm.
