This is why a lot of ppl (including myself) were fooled into thinking this was a weak/bad call. The broadcast only showed 2 replays of it and they were both from the side angle where you couldn’t see how much Edwards was moving and how wide her legs were.

We’ve got to figure this out. Saw something similar in CyHawk game. This was not flagged because the officials claimed he was BLOCKED INTO the returner which is horribly wrong and not reviewable. This is clear as day.

Went to Iowa/NW in 2000. Kirk was 3-18 at that time. There were 54,000 ppl in attendance at Kinnick. He led Iowa to a convincing win over NW to keep them out of Rose Bowl. That was the moment Iowa fans knew Kirk had things cookin.

This has happened before but there was a very different reaction. A Big 12 starting QB bet on his own team, got caught, lost his eligibility — and there was no outcry from Iowa State or Cyclone fans. All parties accepted the one and only outcome.
