An Iranian man on a motorcycle hurls insults at President Donald Trump between words: "This Trump said he wanted regime change... The only change to the regime was to our diet (the word 'regime' doubles as 'diet' in Persian), and now we can’t eat sh*t with these prices."

Anti-regime chants of "Death to Khamenei" and "Long live the shah" heard on the first night of the war in Tehran (and shared presumably via Starlink). ht Bahman Kalbasi

Since Trump's comments about the Iran protests, I've seen numerous videos of Iranian protesters either thanking him or, in this case, renaming streets after the US president.

Anti-regime protests continue in Iran for a second day, sparked by the rapidly devaluing rial. A brave protest of one: a protester sits with his jacket pulled over his head—presumably to protect his identity—as he faces security forces. (Video has gone viral.) ✊🏼

There's so much to say about this video shot in Iran of Iranian Gen Zers making music from random sounds. The details alone are incredible: brave girls without mandatory hijab, Christian crosses, Gen Z style, English freestyling, etc.

This is an ad for a mug store in Iran where young Iranians impersonate NPCs from Grand Theft Auto. And folks wonder why the Iranian embassy’s trolling/ meme game is so strong. This is how plugged-in Iranians are when it comes to American pop culture and viral internet trends.

Apparently, the hottest trend in Iran right now is… 1980s Iran (دهه ۶۰). The party videos are highly entertaining. 🤣

This broke me. An Iranian father walks for 12 mins through Kahrizak Forensic Medicine, passing 100s of corpses as he searches for his slain son, repeating: “My dear Sepehr, where are you son?” 💔 He also mourns the others killed while cursing Khamenei.

I told CNN This Morning with Audie Cornish that Iranians fear the Islamic Republic’s revenge. 700+ arrests so far, not including activists like Hossein Ronaghi. Three have already been executed—and now there are serious concerns that Swedish-Iranian academic Freedom for Dr. Ahmadreza Djalali could be next.

This AI video of the lone protester by momozo.mlx has reached nearly 17 million views on IG. It captures what so many Iranians wished had happened in that moment: the defiant protester—and the security forces taking a stand and defecting.

With the internet partially back on in Iran, so is the IG content. Iranian content creators are poking fun at the tit-for-tat strikes and the ceasefire. "POV: Status of the ceasefire" 😅

A doctor who treated protesters during the January anti-regime uprising told This American Life (with a voiceover) that he was devastated to see “privileged” folks on social media “whitewashing” and “denying” the unprecedented massacre he witnessed in Iran.
