Jay Clayton will be the new Director of National Intelligence starting tomorrow, replacing acting DNI Bill Pulte. During a CNBC interview in 2024, Clayton mentioned he was bothered by the GameStop $GME situation and described it as closer to gambling than investing. "It is not insider trading - that's clear. And he (DFV) is trading on his own information, that is why it's not insider trading. But is this something that we should be tolerating in our markets? Whether it is legal or illegal? I don’t think so." We'll see what happens.

What world do we live in where...we’re rooting for...an entrenched management team that has no skin in the game? Bloomberg interviewer fishing for a response on games going digital-only. Ryan Cohen: "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter at all. Software today makes up less than 12% of the business...so it's totally, totally irrelevant." I've said this before, and I'll say it again: GameStop made 93% of last year's annual net income in ONE quarter. Mostly from financial investments, NOT retail sales.
